poor service
I recently went to Kif for a birthday dinner. The service was beyond atrocious: the wait staff was rude, it took nearly 40 minutes for guests to receive their drinks, and our inquiries as to the status of our order were answered rudely. The quality of the food, while passable, was not nearly good enough to make up for the egregious errors of the wait staff. If they had not forced us to pay a 20% tip for a large party, there would not have been one.

Best Spot in Fort Greene!
I live close by and eat here regularly. I love the French/Moroccan food and menu but the best part is definitely the garden setting. The hummus, steak, mussels, eggs Norwegian, vanilla french toast, and yam fries are all fantastic! And fairly priced. Great for a long, lovely meal in a great atmosphere- I've spent many there myself!

Really good.....
What a great find! The food was amazing, the waitress was great, and the manager checked on us personally to see that we were having a great time. Great music and atmosphere, but nothing beat the food! Huge portions, perfectly spiced, and just what we were looking for. A must visit! P.S: ask for a table in the backyard...

Great!
I went here for brunch and the food was really tasty. The humus was great as was the kif burger and meatballs in a tomato/egg stew. The decor was also very nice, with an exotic feel. Apparently late night it turns into a bar and they have hookah. I'll definitely go back!

Hidden on DeKalb
I have lived in Fort Greene for ages and have always managed to pass right by Kif. I finally was able to dine there and was very pleasantly surprised. The food is a rich African fare- couscous, tangine, falafal. The only big draw back was the service was a bit slow- may have been due to a smaller wait staff during the week.
