i'd pass
The roti tastes like matzoh, the samosas were the blandest i've ever tasted, the sauce that came with it was really uninspiring. And they didnt even have the common courtesy to put napkins/forks in my delivery bag.

Great Delivery
I have been ordering take-out from Khushie for a few years and it is consistently good. The delivery I find to be super fast. I feel as soon as I hang up they are at my door. I am a fan of their veggie somosas and Chicken Tikki Masala. Yum! The actual restaurant is nothing to behold, so for me, this is a place for pick-up or delivery, not a place to stay and eat.

Satifies Hunger but Not the Best
This is an efficiently run place which is not glamourous. So, you shouldn't expect a 5 star meal here. However, if you are hungry and low on cash, this is the spot. The food at its worst is mediocre and at its best decent. Great for cheap delivery when you don't have the energy to go out or cook for yourself.

Appauling service
What is appauling service ? Kushie Kitchen. Wow . I mean BAD. It generally takes them to deliver to an appartment less than a mile from their front door. Then when they are 2 hours late and I ring them to find out whats happened and they check my address? There are plenty of Indian restaurants in New York City . This is one should avoid.

Great Indian Food
I found the food at Khushie to be very good. The Chana Masala was delicious as was the Baigan Bartha. Naan was fresh and tasty as were the vegetable samosas. The portions were big enough for two meals, and even though it sort of looks like a dive, it's kind of refreshing to eat somewhere that isn't decorated like the inside of a space ship. I highly recommend it- especially for vegetarians.

Formerly the Best, Now just the Only
Khushie used to be good with prices starting at 5.95 for a vegetarian entree. I know it was several years ago and prices rise but now the same dishes are 8.95. The taste of the food has changed too. It used to be perfectly spicy. Now you must ask for it to be spicy and its just not the same. The service, while the phone lady is nice, the delivery time is often close to an hour. It is still the only one on the LES.

gone downhill
This place used to be overpriced but tasty, but now it's even more overpriced while the food has really declined. I can only guess that its location is what's keeping it in business.
