    The best night ever

I've been to kemia bar on several occasions, and each time this place has given me something different. I've been there for there happy hour, I think I might have tried every single drink on the menu, but I highly recommend the berry cosmo. I've been there for dinner, started with a few tapas, then had a an entree, and then was suprised by the exotic belly dance performance. Every once and a while I've been brave enough to stay out and enjoy Kemia that turns into a wild night in another world. I danced my butt off and had the best time. The bartender even gave me a free shot, cause she said I made her laugh! Kemia is pretty much all around enjoyment, if your looking for after work drinks, dinner, or to party. And the Dj is crazy!!!!

    Annoyed and Disappointed

Upon arriving the smell of the place should have been the first clue. We had to check our coats for $2.00 an item and wait on a line to do so, while people leaving were cutting the line to get their coats to leave. Ok, hopefully the atmosphere and drinks make a better impression. NO, the place is very small, HOT and STUFFY and smelly. People at the little tables are blocking any open tables and do not have warm and friendly offerings to move over. The drinks are overpriced for no alcohol, the music is not good and the place is just uncomfortable. The website is very deceiving. We did not try the tapas, people were not eating while we were there but they were "hitting the hookas"!

    Once was enough!

The smallest portion ever for such a high price!. The flavor was ok nothing special. The only thing that I like is the enviroment! I m never going back. I been to better place with more unique flavor and better prices.

    Not what I expected....

Went here one night thinking it was going to be a very cool lounge type authentic moroccan restaurant... We got there around 10 and there were only 2 other tables there... atmosphere was not as expected... then we ordered dinner.... Menu does not have too many options definetly not for vegetarians... I ordered the artichoke dish that when asked how it is prepared I was told sauteed... well sauteed is actually a cold artichoke salad... Then theres the hooka... they had one flavor to choose from and you have to pay for that in cash seperate from the bill so be warned its not what you expect....

    Wonderful Lounge!

Everytime I bring someone here, they fall in love! Best lychee martinis in the city. Great DJ on the weekends, but not a dancing spot. Only negative aspect was the couscous and the moroccan chicken... dry and unimpressive. But the cigares and the tapas were great. Soooo, don't come starving. Come to drink and relax!

    Great find!

Were in NY over Labour Day weekend and went for tapas and drinks after our show (couple blocks west of Broadway). Had a little difficulty finding it. Great mojitos!! Good hummus plate and fabulous shrimp beignets. Sexy atmosphere with dim lighting, low tables/chairs and flower petals on the floor. Worth a try. We will return!!
