I'm Panamanian and I love the food from my heritage we live in Staten Island and every Saturday we come to Brooklyn and shop especially for things we can't get out here, so before we leave we go to kelso and buy food along with the frituras cooked and not cooked we freeze it for later use. I love my Panamanian food. especially the mondongo with white rice yummy

Great spot! Daily Specials
I'm a Brooklyn native and my girlfriend did Peace Corps in Panama. We live in the neighborhood and both love this food! Sopa de Res, Hojaldres and Pollo Guisado are our favorites. The service is wonderful, the people are very friendly. The recent renovations are a nice addition too. An overall A+!

The best Central American Food
I love going to Kelso! The food is wonderful. My favority is the cod-fish with white rice and plantain. The service and friendliness of the staff is why I go there often. I like the fact that although it's a Panamanian restaurant, the place caters to everyone. The owner makes you feel more than welcome.

Authentic Panamanian Cuisine
Every time I go to NYC I have to stop by and get my comida tipica fix. I usually get the bistec picado with arroz y guandu (strips of steak in gravy with rice and pigeon peas) with a side of patacones/tostones (green plantain twice fried) and yucca frita (fried cassava). The carimaƱolas are amazing aswell. Now I'm getting hungry lol!
