Best spot for Veggie junkfood
Kate's is the best place in NY for a veggie greasy home cookin' craving. The appetizers and weekly specials are great and they play good music.

Disappointing
The waitress was like a deer in headlights when we pointed out the caked milk in the pitcher. Somehow she didn?t ?get? that we needed a new coffees and proceeded to bring us other kinds of milk. They didn?t get any of our orders right and a few of the orders at the tables around us. It was overall a disappointing meal.

I had only Great experiences here
Their burgers are the best I've ever had. And the dijon tofu rocks.

Some food is poor, some is good
And you never know what or when. I have been here like 4 times in the last 8 years and 3 out of 4 left me thinking "that food is not good". One time I ordered the right thing I guess. Whatever... it's vegan.

Not so Good
I have been going to this place on and off for years. It really floors me that there are all these positive reviews for this joint. What are people thinking? I also wanted to comment about the person who commented on the decor and need for renovations. It was just renovated this year! Nice one.

Moderate
Onion rings excellent, tho buffalo wings dripping in grease w/ a bland sauce. Waitress a little surly about bringing sauces, water. Tiramisu poor, very sweet and banana-y. Fried shrimp also quite bland and doughy.

The best!
What can I say? This is the best place I've been to for vegan food! All the goodies you normally can't eat out, friendly staff, and great music too. I want to live there.
