Cuisine Of Pakistan

I am from India and I cook tasty meals at home. But, sometimes love to explore different 'desi' restaurants in NYC. I ran into this place just by fluke, and I could not believe how tasty the food was! It had just the right amount of spicing-- not too spicy, yet very tastty and had the home-cooked flavor to it. The food here easily beats food from many Indian/Bangladeshi/Pakistani restaurants that are known to be excellent. I would love to eat there more often, even though it is not possible for me as I work/love in Uptown.

My boyfriend and I just moved to the immediate area and were excited when we saw this restaurant. Unfortuately it did not live up to its previous reviews, as the food was luke warm, the salad (wilted iceberg) unappetizing and atmosphere left much to be desired. Could it be they were having an off day? Maybe... but I cant imagine such a 180 for any establishment.

This is the Pakistani restaurant you've always wanted to find but didn't know where it was: It's here! The window says "Nice and Spicy" and that's fair warning. It's not that the spicing is painful, it's just that the cooking isn't adjusted down for you; it's adjusted properly for them. The taste is simply delicious, so good that you'll return again and again. There are lots of different dishes to try and they each have their unique taste. Unlike many Indian dishes with which these share names and appearances, this food is not heavy or oily. And you likely will have that feeling of authenticity by being the only non-Pakistani in the place. The service is friendly and good-humored. I can't say enough.
