    Great Steak but that's it

Unbelievable Kosher Steak; the best anywhere; the rest you can keep and the service is insulting. Sitting is a subway at rush hour is more comfortable than dining at Kasbah

    Underrated, but not undefeated

Since the closing of Dougies on 72nd street, the meat restaurant selection in the city has been sparse. Thank goodness we still have Deli Kasbah. The tables are at times too close to one another and you may be asked numerous times if you have daven Mincha yet by some of the regulars, but the food is always solid. If you are a hard core red-meat lover and want a good nice steak sandwhich...they probably have the best kosher one in the city. The prices have gone up quite a bit in the past and thats to be expected, but you will always be left satisfied.

mashiach will come before my waiter

i've eaten at kasbah many times: sometimes at lunch and sometimes dinner. even when i'm the only one in the restaurant, i sometimes have a problem getting the waiter to come over! the rebbe-vision is creepy. And the final straw: I took my wife there for a nice dinner out. It took them an hour to take our order, even when asked several times they didn't bring pickles and cole-slaw until they brought out our main courses. my wife ordered a salad with grilled chicken, she asked for some balsamic vinegar to dress the salad. instead they brought soy sauce! gross. the prices have gone through the roof, the service is horrible, and the atmosphere is creepy. but they make a descent burger.
