    absolutely delicious

I went here for a bachelorette party and everything about this restaurant was incredible. The staff was extremely nice...they didn't seem to mind that we had bachelorette party favors strewn across the table and were drinking from x-rated straws. As for the food, it was amazing! We ordered everything off the "grill" menu plus the chicken wings (probably the best thing there) and the pork belly special. Everything was so flavorful and expertly cooked. We also ordered sake which was also delicious. Our bill came to $130 for 5 people. Now keep in mind that included 10 tapas dishes and a $48 bottle of sake. I think that's a pretty good deal. I highly recommend this cute restaurant. The staff is so nice and the food is the best. This is definitely my new favorite place.

    An East Village Gem

A great find. My wife and I just ate here for the first time and it won't be the last. Its like a Japonese tapas bar with small tasty dishes, very reasonably priced. Cool ambiance and excellent service. Go there before everyone else finds out about it! Or don't and leave the place to me.

    udon!

Had 2 very interesting (and contrasting) types of sake with dinner. They have a rotating selection of sake on draught. The grilled eggplant with miso was very tasty, as was the udon, served with wakame in a nice broth. I ordered the broiled smelt, but it was a mistake - overdone to the point of being charred. Service was great, and, apart from the smelt fiasco, the food was excellent.

    Great undiscovered neighborhood place

Whenever I go to kasadela I always marvel about how lucky we were to find it - its totally unassuming and not reviewed much. We usually go on weekdays and the place is pretty empty. But the food is so good!! I constantly crave the rock shrimp donburi which is definiitely big enough to be your entire meal. I always end up ordering more though since they have lots of interesting tasty stuff on the menu. The sake menu is great too. Service is very attentive too.

    In love with this place

This place was fantastic- atmosphere great for a date, tiny but cozy place with exposed brick walls. The food was unbelievable. 4 friends dined there on a fri night, and we ordered a ton of sake, food, and dessert and our bill was only $100. The food was flavored just right. I couldn't believe how good this place could make chicken taste...As a note though, some of the food is fairly salty. My friends also loved the place. The staff was great too. The waitress was so cute and sweet and helped us pick out a couple dishes and sake later into our meal. Will def be going back...

you dont know what you are missing!!

Finding this restaurant is like finding a precious gem! I hate to be selfish but I am very select about to whom I recommend this restaurant. I dont want it to get filled with trendy brats!Little known fact: the owner ran the original Nobu for many years. He worked with and opened multiple restaurants for Nobu...thus the quality of the food is Nobu Quality for a fraction of the price! this is NOT just another sushi place.....THE FOOD IS AMAZING!
