Ahhhmazing!
Our meal was absolutely delicious! It was reasonably priced, authentic, and so interesting. The sake selection was also amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone

happy to have fallen in here!
A friend and I kind of just stumbled in here in desperate search for asian food and we were amazed at how good it was. The hostess/waitress was the biggest sweetheart and actually provided us with worthwhile explanations. Sometimes I hate it when waiters try to explain things on the menu, but was happy she did! The kimchee was clearly made there, and quite awesome (I don't typically like kimchee) and the pork skewers were excellently cripsy and perfect. I am also not a big sake drinker, but was happy with my seasonal sake box and it was described very well on the menu. Definitely recommend this place.

absolutely delicious
I went here for a bachelorette party and everything about this restaurant was incredible. The staff was extremely nice...they didn't seem to mind that we had bachelorette party favors strewn across the table and were drinking from x-rated straws. As for the food, it was amazing! We ordered everything off the "grill" menu plus the chicken wings (probably the best thing there) and the pork belly special. Everything was so flavorful and expertly cooked. We also ordered sake which was also delicious. Our bill came to $130 for 5 people. Now keep in mind that included 10 tapas dishes and a $48 bottle of sake. I think that's a pretty good deal. I highly recommend this cute restaurant. The staff is so nice and the food is the best. This is definitely my new favorite place.

An East Village Gem
A great find. My wife and I just ate here for the first time and it won't be the last. Its like a Japonese tapas bar with small tasty dishes, very reasonably priced. Cool ambiance and excellent service. Go there before everyone else finds out about it! Or don't and leave the place to me.

udon!
Had 2 very interesting (and contrasting) types of sake with dinner. They have a rotating selection of sake on draught. The grilled eggplant with miso was very tasty, as was the udon, served with wakame in a nice broth. I ordered the broiled smelt, but it was a mistake - overdone to the point of being charred. Service was great, and, apart from the smelt fiasco, the food was excellent.

Great undiscovered neighborhood place
Whenever I go to kasadela I always marvel about how lucky we were to find it - its totally unassuming and not reviewed much. We usually go on weekdays and the place is pretty empty. But the food is so good!! I constantly crave the rock shrimp donburi which is definiitely big enough to be your entire meal. I always end up ordering more though since they have lots of interesting tasty stuff on the menu. The sake menu is great too. Service is very attentive too.
