After traveling several long blocks to place my order, which was (A gyro platter, a Gyro and extra pita). Confirmed with the staff that my order was complete, only to walk back the same long city blocks to find out that my order was incomplete. I called the restaurant and told them they forgot my Gyro. The staff member responded that the Gyro order was never placed, ok cool, so can you send one out for delivery? Sure. One hour later, still no Gyro, so I called back only to be informed that the delivery requirement was not met, so no, we cannot deliver to you. Thank' Karavas Place, you just lost a great customer.

we ordered delivery from here for about 4 years. Then about a year ago, they suddenly didnt know how to get to our street, which is only about 6 blocks from the restaurant. Other times we were simply told the delivery person "doesnt come to work." And those were the excuses we were given when someone actually answered the phone, which was only about half the time. The food was always good, when we could get them to deliver it, but that became harder and harder to get them to do. We finally gave up and just order from other places now. So enjoy the food...if you can get it.

Been going there for probably about 10 years but lately the service/atmosphere has changed. Last time I was there the waitress brought the wrong dish, then insisted that was what my companion ordered. Food is still good, but every time I go now there is something wrong with the order or someone with an attitude.

I used to order from this place at least once a week but in the last few months it's gone way downhill. They tell you 10 minutes on the phone and end up waiting nearly an hour every time for delivery - any they're across the street. When the food arrives, the order is rarely correct and often missing half of the items. Even when you order a single platter, it shows up missing half the stuff they list on the menu.

I absolutely love the food there! We live in Jersey and my husband and I go there often! We always order the Gyro, which is the best we've had thus far!

I have ordered delivery two times now, really late. 11.30 pm. I order the Moussaka, because I love Moussaka and it reminds me of my mother who is in a different country. She makes the absolute best Moussaka, but Karavas makes a decent one too. The guy on the phone is so sweet, he has a thick accent but we talk slowly and then it works out perfectly. I have never been in the resturant, only ordered delivery.

First of all I have to say that I have been going to Karavas for over 8 years on a regular basis and I just LOVE the food. The waitress' before were really nice and attended the customers very well. My last visit did not go so well, first I waited about 10 minutes to get a menu, after another 10 minutes of waiting for her to take my order I decide to get up and give the cook my order myself suddenly she shows up. THEN, after we are done we are waiting PATIENTLY for our check I pay and just as I am about to leave she tells me that "the service is not included!!" How dare she? I almost died! Yes, I DID NOT tip her. You tip for good service which I did not get. I was so shocked and upset because of this waitress I will not be going back to Karavas for a LONG LONG time...maybe never.
