Disappointing night
Reading the other reviews makes me think that they must have been having a bad night. We ordered take out and have rarely been more disappointed. Several soups, chicken dishes and egg rolls. The egg rolls were so hard (old?) that they were inedible. The dan dan soup was very bland, with no dan dan noodle spices at all. The chicken dishes we tried (three different kinds) were not fresh and lacked any flavor. The sesame noodles were oddly sweet and in a difficult-to-describe gummy sauce. I hope it was just a bad night at the restaurant but there are too many options in this city for me to ever try it again.

Take out
This is one of the few places that deliver in my area( Madison and 67th), so I was pleased with what I got for my money. It is a little pricey for Chinese food but as I mentioned- there isnt a lot to choose from here. The food is good and it took 45 mins to deliver.

Excellent all the way!
Chinese food is my favorite comfort food, and Kar Won Does not disappoint on comfort and convenience, Old Style Chinatown Flavor and Old Chinatown Pricing, make this super fast delivery my new favorite take out, when I don't feel like cooking!

great food
great food. the roasted meats are pretty authentic. there are also additional specials on hand-written signs which are very tasty. great prices for midtown, and they're really fast. the noodle soups are ok, but all seem to taste the same.

Awesome weekday takeout
I pickup or get delivery once or twice a week for lunch. Food is great and priced well. $6 gets you good chinese takeout lunch. Roast pork noodle soup is great as are the 'combo' meals. Some of the best boneless pork strips I've ever ahd from this type of place.

Great Roast Meats
Kar Won has some of the best roast meats of any Chinese restaurant in midtown. The roast pork, duck and soy sauce chicken over rice are all great and flavourful choices. The noodles are pretty good, but a bit salty. I go there at least once a week with my friends and you get great value for 5-6 bucks.

You get what you pay for
Tried the duck over rice...the first few bites i thought, "wow, not too terrible for $5.50." I guess it was passable. But the more i ate, the more it tasted salty than flavorful. Though as takeouts go, not bad.
