I went a second time just to give them the benefit of the doubt. The first time I was there with friends and they kept rushing us out the door to accomodate other guests. The second time I went, they didn't get my order right and charged me more for it. The service was poor as well. The lady behind the cash register kept coming around to our table to see if we were getting ready to leave when we haven't even gotten started on the fruits. The food wasn't so bad but it wasn't good enough to tolerate the service.

This is one of the best place for korean bbq in the city. The banchan is great and the service is not bad too. Great for big groups and open 24 hours. what more to ask for

I always go to this place for the barbeque. The servers are nice and the restaurant is always filled. I have no complaints. Plus, it is open 24 hrs. A great find!

This place is a staple of mine. The food here is always good. It doesn't matter if it is a Monday night or a Saturday afternoon, the food is consistently good. The service is much like most Korean restaurants -- you have to grab the wait staff. But this is par for the Korean restaurant course. If you want a really traditional tasting meal, Kang Suh is the place to go.

I was having korean bbq there today, it was simply an unpleasant experience. First they messed up our drinks by giving me the wrong kind of soda and a beer that we never ordered. Second, I know most korean restaurants would help customers to cook the bbq, they would come up to the table and help to cook the food for you, but this one is rather aggressive, even make us uncomfortable. The guy was cooking beef for us first, then the beef was almost overcooked so we took the beef off the metal plate and started to put the squid we ordered. When the waiter saw us doing that he ran up to our table looking annoyed and then put our squid all back to the original plate then he changed the metal plate, then, put the squid back to cook. BIG DEAL. it's more of the attitude that ruined the eating experience, not the unchanged metal plate. He never came back to our table again. When we're still at the table, not yet paying the check, they already moved another table and put it together to ours for the party that's waiting; basically they're having a little construction project right next to us. The food isn't bad, but basically it's the same as kunjip or kum gang san.

I think that people are being too harsh on the service at this restaurant. Yes, they may not seem too friendly but they're efficient. The Barbecue is delicious, and I have never been unsatisfied after dining here. The Kalbi is my favorite! People need to calm down and cut the servers some slack. I definitely recommend it.

I'm Korean and I can tell you right now, there's no better bulgogi on 32nd St. than Kang Suh. You can try all the restaurants on this street in Little Korea but you always end up coming back here....why? Because it's good eats. Yes, the service isn't stellar but going to Kang Suh for service rather than food is like going to a Yankee game to buy Yankee gear. It's secondary to what really matters and that's getting a decent bang for your buck and feeling satisfied that you got yourself a good meal. One criticism however. They shouldn't make their Kimchi Chigae with so much pork because the broth tends to be fatty. Other than that, this is my old standby. It's also my parents' favorite too. "4 out of 5 Kims agree".
