Complaints about poor service are nuts. The servers do their job. Food is so great, especially scallion pancakes and we (my Korean wife and I) have eaten in many Korean restaurants here and LA and the beef here has never been topped

Wanted to write a review for one of my favorite Korean restaurants in NYC. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic high quality korean cooking.

This place has decent food, but its not worth the abuse they try and put you through. I tried to place an order over the phone for (2) orders of Hwe Dup Bop. I asked the girl to check what type of fish they used and they hung up the phone on me. When I called back they said that my order was too small ( a $40 take out order, mind you ) and hung up again on me. The food might be decent but it's also good at the many other korean restaurants on the block. Don't go here!

I am taking a breather at work and had to write this review. Best Korean food in NYC! If you want to taste real Korean food, this is the best place to go. I had "Nak ji dolsot bap" today. It's hot flavored squid, rice, veggies.. When it first comes out the aroma from the food just makes you hungry! Sweet first bite is to die for. Rest is just amazing. I finished the whole thing!! Not usual for me. lolz And I know I always look for best services where ever I go. They were super friendly and helpful on the selection I made for lunch. =).. Can you say yummy?

Group of my friends and I go to this restaurant all the time. I was first introduced to this restaurant by my close friend long time ago. Ever since then I have been telling all my close friends about it and been trying out different things very frequently. I felt it's about time I wrote a review about my good experience at Kang suh. When I go to this restaurant I go with group of 3 or 4. We are promptly seated when we arrive. Soon as we are seated they don't waste any time in taking our order. Of course they are busy at times but can you blame them? They are very friendly and informative when we ask about certain food we might not have tried. Overall it's just very friendly atmosphere. My favorite is Kalbi, Naeng-myun, Japche, soon doo boo, dol sot bibim bap and so much more mouth watering selection. My goal is to try out everything on their menu. I know I sound like a pig but when I go there that's how their food makes you feel. I would definitely recommended for people who are looking for real Korean food. No "if " or "buts", this is the real Korean treasure!! I love it!!

Kang suh is my favorite Korean restaurat now ... It was my first time there and the food was so fresh and authentic ... Yummy

Expensive for the portion we received for a BBQ. Side dishes were minimal. Service was good - was able to get a private room but the taste and price of the food was disappointing.
