Used To Be Alot Better
$15 dollars for BLT on a roll and fries. The BLT tasted as if someone put an entire box of salt in it.

Great Breakfast
Junior's French toast is the best diner French toast I've ever had. It's challah bread, dipped in a wonderful batter and fried till it's a beautiful golden color. Their homefries are superb, as are their eggs. The rest of their food is standard diner fare, and they make really good pina coladas.

Not
As a kid/teenager I grew up eating in Junior's Restaurant, at that time the food, quality, and service was great. I've been there several different times of recent and the food is not the same.

Great service and cheesecakes
I have a mostly positive review of Juniors. Whenever we go to Juniors, we get served immediately. The waitstaff is usually friendly I went with my mom to Juniors after church one Sunday....The food was okay....However, I was shocked when they presented me with the cheesecake. It was a HUGE piece! Can you imagine my eyes when I saw it?! I could not even finish it and took it home with me..... The only other thing that is memorable about Juniors for me is that the Tiramisu cheesecake is not at the store. It is available online or through the catalog!

how is that junior's cheesecake slice a sliver??
just gotta say to the lady below who called the mammoth slices of cheesecake they serve at Junior's 'a sliver'.. How? I can't finish that with the help of another person and I'm no skinny-minny-don't-do-desserts.. Either you're one of those exceptional people that can eat 4 big macs in one sitting or you're just hating because its free airtime and you can... Junior's cheesecake ROCKS and the portions are very generous. The rest of their food, as some others have said, is just fine - its not michelin star but they're not trying to be. Its diner/comfort-type all-american food and for what it is its really very good. Perhaps people should order something other than chicken fingers.. try the brisket.. or the steakburger.. even the chef's salad.. all great in my opinion. Bon appetit!

I liked it.
I know a lot of these reviews are negative on the food, cheesecake aside. But I have to say that as long as you understand what to expect, it is a very good time and the food is delicious, in its way. It is very old-school New York/BK, we are lucky it is still around. The service is decent enough. The food is definitely on the comfort food/soul food/jewish soul food side of things. Not a place to visit on a diet. We had southern food and loved it. And yes, the cheesecake is not just good for cheesecake, it's the very best (except for a goat cheese one at Gramercy Tavern - but that's a totally unfair comparison). The devil's food cheesecake is quite possibly the best dessert in the five boroughs. The haters are fools. Up with Junior's.

Overrated!
The cheesecake is really good but that's about it when it comes to Juniors. Admittedly, I ordered the overpriced cheeseburger that came with fries and onion rings and my friend had the chicken fingers with fries and they were horrible...absolutely tasteless. The service was great; our waiter was attentive but based on this one experience I do not think I would be eating here again perhaps the other dishes are better but how can you mess up a burger and fries? Just wrong.
