Juliette

My boyfriend and I just randomly selected Juliette on a whim this weekend for dinner. We'd heard it was good, but overpriced. We were seated immediately, and our server was very attentive and helpful. The restaurant itself was quaint and lovely. I really enjoyed the music, which had a sort of "Island" vibe to it. I started with the King Pomare the Second cocktail. It was amazingly delightful! Not too sweet, not too bitter. Just perfect! We ordered the BLT with avocado and the Crispy Chicken. The cheese grits were the best I've ever had. Ever. I'm a Southerner at heart, and I know my way around a good grit. These were the best ever. The place really began to fill up after we got there (around 8), so I'm glad we got there before the crowd. I will definitely be going back!

I am a waitress so I typically sympathize more than most when it comes to restaurant service. Juliette, however, has no excuse. Our server didn't know what anything on the menu was, had to keep leaving to ask multiple people what the various Italian ingredients were and then the food itself was horrible. Cold, bland, too salty and burnt. Super overpriced, absolutely not worth it and I will never go there again. Sad, b/c this place could have such potential.

Thought we'd try this place on a Sat night as their website and menu looked nice. Bad idea. Had to get up and find a waiter to acknowledge us and order a drink. Then had to interupt her conversation with the barman to order our meal. The $14 crabcake was a deepfried patty of mushed crab and something on a lettuce leaf. Then ordered the beef off the specials menu, but they brought out a steak frite and dumped it in front of me and ran. I corrected them and they told me they were out of the beef special!! Why not tell me that 40 minutes ago when I ordered the thing! And to try to do a dump and run with a staek frite is ridiculous...The chef needs to spend more time in the kitchen and less standing talking to the barman. Best point of the evening was leaving and having desert elsewhere.

Bad service with an attitude. Ok food that is overpriced. Unpleasant experience.

Dear Juliette, Can you please put the roasted chicken and string beans back on your menu? If so, we will return as the loyal dinner customers we once were. Otherwise, we will continue to order eggs on the rooftop in the summer. Thanks. PS- your coffee is always amazing but what about flourless chocolate cake?

Well-designed restaurant, but the food is mediocre and service is atrocious! Someone from our table ordered a medium-well burger, and after a long wait, the burger arrived rare. The oysters were decent, the moules frites were so-so, the fries were soggy, and we had to ask for ketchup 2 times. Our waitress ignored us constantly and the few times we were able to catch her attention, she answered us with an attitude. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had!!!

We eat at Juliette's all the time, but this past weekend, we could not believe how rude the bartender was. He was so exasperated when we placed a drink order and downright rude, we chose to leave and take our money/business somewhere else. His behavior was so unpleasant, that I doubt we will be back for while. I hope the owners know that their bartender just lost loyal customers.
