I think the title of my review sums up my experience. The food was great but the service was horrible. We were seated in a cramp corner. The waiter was so busy that he didn't take our order until we ask and only after the couple who sat after us order was taken. Besides the service and small space, it was a decent experience of live jazz and good food.

We (me, wife, kids, friends, etc) have gone here for years and always have a great time. It gets noisy when it's crowded but that's part of the charm. Amex and cash only.

My wife and I (both not American, if it matters) went here 3 years ago to have a late-night glass of wine and perhaps a snack. In spite of an empty restaurant we were told not asked to sit at the bar, after we sat down at a table! We walked out, to never come back, all though we pass the place at least twice a week.

Jules takes itself way too seriously and has subpar service. My husband and I went for Valentine's Day, for the first time since our first date 6 years ago, when we had a great time, and this time the restaurant was a JOKE. Our waiter was completely rude, rushed us through ordering, and in fact, made me cry. We ended up being served by the sommelier, who was slightly better. She informed us that none of the (reasonably priced) wines were available (how convenient!) and the cheapest bottle, which was only mediocre, was $55. Then, the host squished another couple into the table right next to us, despite there being many empty tables, and caused me to spill my wine all over myself while I moved by coat in the cramped space. No one offered to help us. The prix fixe was TINY, (we were still hungry afterwards) and felt very cheap. We had to SHARE a dessert (for $45 a person, sharing a dessert?) It was ridiculous. Everyone was rude, you felt like they were running a money machine, and I DO NOT recommend this place anymore. They turned a beautiful memory into a nightmare.

What I thought would be a promising restaurant turned out to be a poor experience. The steak frites I ordered medium rare was entirely gray and inedible. When I informed the waitress, she insisted medium rare meant a dull pink pinpoint in the very center of the steak, and then she walked away without waiting for my response or offering to check with the chef I am not a food critic, but I know enough to know what is medium rare. Despite eating none of my steak, the waitress refused to do anything to remedy the situation. I had to call the manager who nicely offered to not charge us. Even if the cooking of the steak was not the waitress' fault, she should have at least tried to do something about my complaint. The restaurant itself is pleasant but not a 3-star restaurant, but then again is not Sizzler and I expect some decent measure of service. After I talked to the manager, the waitress gave us champagne - too little too late.

Very good place especially the jazz music wich starts from 8pm to 8:30pm. The food its very food, the service was excelent, the only thing is that they don't accept credit cards I think only AMEX. Overall very nice atmosphere!

I have been here about 5 times now and it has gotten better each time. Perfect place to grab brunch or a late night drink, and the bands they have come play are always good. Very cool atmosphere, without seeming as if they've tried too hard. Definitely great spot for a date.
