A bit of France in mid-town
Very French, very good food and excellent friendly service. Forget how you got here and you might think you're in France. Moules and steak tartar were excellent, I found the staff very friendly (now you know you're in NY not Paris). Price is reasonable as NY prices go.

Very good food, very French service
This is a great standby for when we want to impress a visitor to the neighborhood. Mussels are excellent, and the food never fails to impress in general. I would just note that we've found the service generally quite snooty -- with obvious disdain if we decide to pass on wine or dessert.

Fantastic!
This was the first time I have ever tried serious French cuisine...and I loved it! Leave room for dessert!
