    Once a week regular

There are 8 French restaurants within four blocks, but this is the one we keep returning to. The staff is friendly, the food excellent, and the prices are easy on the wallet.

    You Can't Beat This place

I've been here more than a dozen times and have never had anything but the mussels (the curry and the chicken). The broths are bread-dipping heaven! The fries are perfect and you WILL be able to finish the entire plate, so just face that fact and enjoy. Service can be a little cool but overall it's fine. At least the servers don't try to become your best friend and tablemate. Atmosphere is quite good for conversation. This is a gem of a neighborhood place.

    Brunch for Two

Living in the neighborhood it's difficult to take this place for granted. The food is top notch and very fresh. We showed up for Sunday brunch and had a fantastic, relaxing meal that made us feel like we were in Europe. The service was extremely friendly and we both commented on it to each other upon leaving. I would highly recommend it.

    Great but don't go

Don't ever go to Jubilee... That way we won't have a problem getting a table. Everything is WONDERFUL at Jubilee.

    Turned Away

Under most circumstances I would give this little place in my neighborhood a great review, having eaten there several times. However, I had one bad experience that has me turned off. My husband and I had dinner reservations with another couple. They called to say they were running 15 -20 minutes late for our 7:00 reservation. I called Jubilee and asked the gentleman that answered the phone if it would be ok if we were 15-25 minutes late arriving around 7:15 -7:25. He said that it would be no problem at all. Our friends got in about 10 minutes later than expected and we arrived at Jubilee at 7:31. We told that as we were 15 minutes past our reservation (they had it down as 7:15) they had given away our table. Despite reminding them that we were obviously coming since I had spoken to them on the phone less than 30 minutes ago and assured them we would be there (and I gave them my cell phone number), they sat some walk-in guests at our table. Oh well. Mussels are some of the best in town though....

Good food, but a lot to put up with

Very good food, but unfriendly, cold service. I probably wouldn't go so far as to call it rude, but it certainly wasn't pleasant. Too bad, because the food is wonderful. The service was unpleasant enough to make us stay away. Too many other good restaurants in New York where you don't have to put up with so much. Unfortunate.

    On The Stand

Came 4 minutes before the restaurant opened. The front waiter wouldn't let my husband and me sit at our table until the exact time. When the hostess finally came over (a few minutes after the opening time), she treated us rudley for being 4 minutes early. The food is good and the two waitresses are nice but it isn't worth the rude treatment.
