    Quelle Une Disappointment

We went for Valentine's Day with a reservation and what a disappointment. The hostess who seated us had an attitude that set the tone for and ruined the meal. The food and waiter were good, but unless you like L'Attitude from the hostess, don't bother.

    Always eat out

We love this restaurant. Not fancy, tables close together but, food is delicious, best mussels and french fries in town.

    Thank you, Zagat's!

We hail from Oklahoma City, and happened upon this jewel on a short trip to NYC. In spite of the dubious name (sounds like carnival! or festival!) we put our trust in Zagat's and made reservations. Everything was wonderful. Although the service was courteously detached, I think this is a good quality: not aloof, nor gushy, just there to bring you great food. Our party would have been easy to look down the nose at, too. We had six Okies, including one child and one teenager (the latter having come straight from the NCAA tournament and was dressed in full OSU Cowboy regalia). Although we were not unruly, we did make friends with the couple at the next table (who were regulars from the neighborhood) and tasted food off of each others' plates. If our waiter found us obnoxious, he certainly did not let on. My mother and I returned to Jubilee on our next trip, and were once again pleased with everything. I will dream of red lentils and mashed cauliflower until I can eat there again!

    The Best Mussels And Fries

You'd think you're in Belgium when eating Jubilee's moules et frites. The mussels are always fabulous (I have never had a bad one) no matter what preparation and the fries are the crispy thin ones. Oh so good. I have not found anywhere that matches their quality in NY (or the US for that matter). And the price is very reasonable. Add a bottle of wine (prices are also reasonable) and a great meal for way under $100. We take many of our out-of-town friends here for a great reasonable meal and all have loved the place. Locals flock here and the restaurant has built up a strong following so getting in without a reservation can be tough many times especially during prime dinner hours. The place is a bit noisy, but gets quiet about 9:15 (when you can get in without a reservation). Service is usually efficient but sometimes not very friendly. Overall, it is a wonderful French bistro

    Great Place

My husband and I are regulars at this restaurant. We feel as if it is our second home when we eat there. It is a comfortable and friendly place. The food is always first rate and the service is expertly done. The fish is always very fresh and tasty. All of the dishes at Jubilee are beautifully prepared with wonderful sauces.

    Tables too close

Despite the rave reviews here, the tables are much too close and even though the patrons are not particularly noisy, the packing caused the sound level to increase and it can get uncomfortable. There are no comfortable tables for two, only for three or more. Otherwise, this could be a lovely place.

    Wonderful, great, stupendous....

I had dinner at Jubilee on Sunday. The mussels were wonderful and the rest of the meal just as good. It was the best birthday dinner I have had in quite some time. The ambiance was lovely, staff attentive and dessert marvelous. I will return!
