Love It
We have known Jubilee since it opens in 1994. We absolutely love it. The food is just fantastic; all our friends agree. The new space is beautiful, more comfortable and still romantic. Chef Luc and Fredi Bravo and Merci for being in our neighborhood.

OK But
I have been going to Jubilee for over 20 years. Since they have moved to larger quarters, the kitchen doesn't seem the same. - I seem to think it is overwhelmed. I was there 5-6 weeks ago on a Saturday night (8:30ish), ordered the escargots and, of course, mussels. You could feel the frenetic pace of the place and poor service staff. The escargots came to the table absolutely boiling in their metal platters (they were extremely rubbery and overcooked). The mussels were very tasty but luke warm unfortunately. I do hope they can rectify these problems because I so miss their careful preps. A bit of noise reduction would be nice also. The bartender did make a fabulous martini though.

Skip Dessert
We ordered in two wonderful mussel choices and thoroughly enjoyed them! On a whim, I ordered one thin apple tart with a teaspoon of ice cream -- $8.50! That's really outrageous. It won't stop me from ordering from (or going to) Jubilee, but you won't catch me ordering dessert.

Really the best mussels!
I have been here a few times over the years and always tell myself I should come more often (not as convenient for an Upper West Sider). Definitely worth the cross-town trip today. We came for a late Saturday brunch - excellent starters of Vichyssoise (soup of the day) and the chicken liver pate. Then the best - MUSSELS. Mariniere, classic and delicious and the Poulette, one of my favorites and just REALLY good. Plentiful (though mussels a bit skinny this time of year), clean (no grit whatsoever)and flavorful. Fries were crisp and meaty. Salad, not the preferred accompaniment! (BTW, they have unlimited bloody marys or mimosas at brunch!) Service attentive. Nice, simple, cozy decor - quiet because restaurant was not as full as it deserves to be. Best place for mussels though perhaps not as trendy as the others.

Fabulous mussels and great food
The food is fabulous. The service and wines commensurate. This is a cozy neighborhood staple that is consistent and delicious as well

Love this place!
I'm a big mussels fan and I must say the mussels at Jubilee were amazing. They have about 6 different choices and I have had 4 of them so far, and every one of them was unbelievably good. I recommend the ones in tomato broth and the creamy chicken mushroom broth. Both are the best I have ever had. The service is also amazing here. Everyone is so nice and friendly and very attentive to everyone's needs. I highly recommend giving this place a try as their food is delicious. Have been back to Jubilee numerous times and can't wait to go back again.
