I stopped by this place for a slice of cake [to go] after having dinner with my husband at Salud!. It was amazing that we had to wait, even though there was no one in the take out line. Then they didn't get the order right - I guess it IS really hard to differentiate b/t a slice of "Mama's Apple Cake" from the fridge and lemon cake from the counter even when you do point at it. Then the "American Beauty" chocolate cake was STALE! I was so pissed that I wasted money at this glorified bodega. YUCK!

I went there this summer, the seating was nice. I could see many people walking on the street. The service was okay, the food wasn't bad. I would say this restaurant would be good if you're looking for a quick and easy lunch or dinner instead of an elaborate one.

I am writing this while making a mad escape away from this place. This is one of the worst restaurants I have ever eatin at. I'm not a picky person in the least. I can eat about anything and be satisfied. My girlfriend and I were famished after walking down to the seaport to see the Waterfalls and stopped by this place. I ordered nachos and she ordered chicken fingers after they said it would be impossible to remove onions from her salad since the salads are prepacked. The nachos came back as microwaved potato chips with peco de gallo and cheese on top. Her tenders were soggy and obviously microwaved. I hungry after my 11 dollar potatochips tried her tenders and they were absolutely unedible and I have eatin some nasty things. Our total was about 30 bucks. Were both still hungry and annoyed. I feel like I was scammed. BLAH GROSS UGGH!!!

I usually wouldn't stop at the restaurant around the south street seaport as I see them as tourist traps but being hungry I decided to stop there. I ordered a medium rare burger. The burger arrived and the beef was literally raw inside, so I asked to have it cooked a bit more. They took it away, but 5 mn later, a waiter came to my table telling me that was what a medium rare burger should look like...I told it to make it well done if that's what they consider a medium rare. It came back 15 mn later, without the coleslaw or pickles. Also it had chips instead of the ordered salad (originally I wanted fries but they said they weren' t ready to make fries...). Nothing was good anyway, the bun, the unmelted cheese, and the grease soaked beef...Service was lousy and I wanted to leave without leaving a tip but it was already included. Damn! Add to this the plastic 'silver'ware and cups and the paper plates and you get one of NY lousiest joint...

Due to the outdoor seating area, this place draws a good outdoor crowd on a nice sunny warm day, but if it's not sunny and warm, stay far away! My coworker and I went for lunch on a wintry day and ordered basic lunch food: a burger for her and a monte cristo pannini for me. Both were terrible. My coworker's burger looked like an overcooked mess, and she said it was tasteless, while my monte cristo was simply a greasy tasteless mess. To make things even less attractive, our "entrees" were served on paper plates and supplemented with plastic utensils. And for this we paid a whopping $11 each. The tax and tip are included on the check, because they are afraid that you'll walk out without tipping for this awful tasteless paperplate meal. Also, the menu that is listed on this menu pages website is completely inaccurate with respect to the prices of the menu items. Everything on the menu during my visit to JP Mustards was much more costly than listed here on menupages.com. If you are in the Seaport area, I recommend you stay away from JP Mustard. It doesn't cut the mustard.

I recently went here with a group of 8 people. we all got different things and every dish was subpar. my quesadilla had no cheese in it, the turkey club was a slice of oscar meyer turkey wrapped around one slice of bacon. Even the curly fries, which at base should have been delicious, were definitely microwaved, they were soft and chewy. The service was ok, and the location provides some good people watching, but your better off elswhere.

A nice place to eat and have a beer outdoors without alot of traffic. The weekends usually grant you a festival or concert or other. Sure, they have paper plates...so what?
