ive been eating Joya for the past 5 years and never get tired of it. the thai iced tea is the best ive ever tasted. at the restaurant they have a man solely dedicated to frying the calamari and spring rolls, and he definitely knows how to do his job well. when i am in a curry mood, i always order the massaman (peanut) curry with chicken over the wide broad noodles with a side of sticky rice. its not on the menu, but they will always make it. so much food comes out for this 1 dish and costs about $8 its usually enough for 2-3 meals (and i can eat a lot). i tend to stay away from ordering curry with steak or the "meat" dishes because the steak inside the curry is usually over-cooked and tough. chicken with curry is the best bet. the noodles are pretty good too. they only deliver sun-thurs, and only recently opened for lunch (starting at 12pm) but delivery usually comes in about 15-20 minutes, which is awesome. the phone line is usually busy, but keep trying! the restaurant is always packed after 7 and its usually an hour or two or more wait on the weekends. yes, its very very loud, so i wouldn't recommend it as a first-date spot. they will take large groups. its cash-only. but the wait is worth it!

I loved this place. Although we had to wait almost an hour for a table it was totally worth it. Everything was great especially the clams and calamari.

Food was really tasty, calamari was yum yum yum. The place was a little to loud for me, weekends they have DJs (wow I sound like an old lady) but after a glass of wine...a HUGE GLASS OF WINE..they pore alot :) the music didn't even bother me. For the $ I spent, I can't complain. Thumbs up, way up!

good food, high price.
Best date spot in the neighborhood. The food is amazing and very cheap. Don't let her see the bill when it comes and she'll think $100 when its more like $20. The atmosphere is perfect. Dim light, good music, sexy. After dinner take her to Last Exit around the corner and you won't be going home alone.

Some of the best Thai food I've had in the city. Pretty standard menu but some of the dishes are uted near-perfectly. The Pad Thai is exceptional somehow it's definitely Pad Thai but it's not the dish you've tasted a million other times over the years. The fish specials are often delicious and non-standard. The curries are pretty standard. Be forewarned, the restaurant is extremely loud.

I've seen many people complain about the takeout service from Joya. News Flash! Part of the Joya experience is sitting there and eating while enjoying a cocktail or five. The food is absolutely out of this world. The prices are phenomenal, especially in this neighborhood. And the staff are so cute and friendly. Do yourself a favor and go eat at the place with a few friends. Cheers!
