Good place to go with your friends but not with a date. Its very loud and you have to literally speak very loudly to be heard..the food is good and cheap...

I have been to this place twice now and both times the manager/owner managed to give us attitude. Most recently I was here for a Birthday party and not only did we have to wait 30 minutes to get seated, we were then at a table for 10 instead of 12. After getting an additional small table and 2 chairs, we then sat for another 30 minutes before the waitress came along and got our order. The food is absolutely nothing special except that the portions can feed a small army. As far as atmosphere goes, it's so loud that you won't hear the person next to you so don't count on a romantic meal or any conversation to occur.

Joya is definitely a joy. I've eaten at a few Asian/Thai restaurants in the past and I rate Joya #1. The wait at times may be long but I've learned to arrive early or to dine in the middle of the week. I introduced several friends to eat at Joya and they are now fans. Their Calamari appetizer is great and so are their drinks. Good place for the price and atmosphere. If you go once, you will always come back.

Inexpensive and very tasty and quality food - I come here at least once a month and bring all my friends, everyone loves it! Hip atmosphere and very cozy garden. Their full bar is also a big plus. Great for casual night-outs.

I've lived in the neighborhood for 7 years, you won't find better food at such amazing prices anywhere else!! Joya is a legend in the area, its definetly a place you and your friends can enjoy and eat great!

I don't usually review restaurants, but Joya has definitely earned it. There food is amazing - I especially recommend the tiger shrimp rolls, the red curries and absolutely any of the "Specials" (and luckily for me the best of these are often repeated). Everything I've had at Joya simply tastes so much better than similar dishes at other highly regarded Thai restaurants. The atmosphere isn't fussy (and so doesn't detrach from their amazing food) and the value is great! Service has always been great when I've dined at the restaurant, and I was amazed at how great the delivery service was: I called asking if they were offering something similar to a particularly delicious "specials" plate I once had & they immediately offered to make the exact dish, even though it was not on their menu that night. True, the line is often busy & you will probably have to wait for a table any night of the week, but obviously that's only because everyone in town knows that dinner from Joya is worth the wait

Very good, standard Thai food at inexpensive prices, given the myriad other places in the area. I agree with other reviewers that they're trying too hard as far as atmosphere goes, so I opt for takeout, but recently, not matter how much I call, the line is ALWAYS busy, so I've since given up and am trying a new place.
