Best in Cobble Hill
I love this place, the food is fantastic and it's my go-to Thai in the neighborhood. Plus the atmosphere is very modern and well lit for a nice dinner out. However it is almost impossible to order from. I just redialed their # 20x before I got through. It would be great if they had some sort of online ordering system.

Delicious and fun
I laugh reading reviews from food snobs who claim this is not authentic Thai. It's probably not but that's because we are in Brooklyn - any Chinese food place is not even real Chinese. If you want the common version of Thai food in America it's great, and a super cheap fun date night. My fave is the spicy noodles.

great place, but don't count on delivery
this place has great food, service, and atmosphere. It's an excellent value and the turn around is super fast. My only complaint (warning) is that you can't count on delivery from Joya anymore. They still operate with a single phone line and no online orders, and it candle handle the volume of customers. I spent 22 minutes trying to get through on the phone only to get a busy signal every time. I finally gave up and ordered from somewhere else.

A disappointment for those with educated palates
Ive been to Thailand twice, eaten at Pong Sri in the city, and dined at the superior Sri Praphai in Queens. How people can claim "This is the best Thai food ever" on this site when Joya is either their lone experience, or they've never even had real Thai food to compare it to is utterly irresponsible. The food at Joya is a safe slice of neutralized exotica for the unadventurous-at-heart with a sensitive palate. Ultimately, it's for the people of the last 10 years who -- thanks to the internet -- consider themselves as "foodies" (a term I find, ironically, distasteful). For those of us who actually know better, it's exceptionally mediocre.

You have to be kidding about the food.
The restaurant is beautiful. The waitress was friendly ( she knew nothing at all about food or beverages ) but she was nice. The prices were cheap by comparison to other Thai places. The social scene was hopping and the croud was active and loud. All good so far. The food was by far the poorest example of Thai cooking that I have ever eaten ( or attempted to eat ). How the other reviewers could find the pad-thai to be great or "the best Thai food in New York" Well it is just another example of a kitchen run by non cooks. A one time only.

Great meal
This is a cool place to have dinner, with great quality of food and at amazing prices. Love the decor and the staff is very friendly. You can always count on having a wonderful meal here.
