Joy Burger...no joy!
Listen jbb, there's a difference btwn grilled burgers and a burger that tastes like a grease fire flair up. And dont put the old nasty lettuce under the newer lettuce thinking we wont notice. Service? What, the cashier? I had to pick up the grease fire burger disaster myself...

Pretty solid place
I have only ordered in so I can speak about the physical location. I have ordered at least 10 times in the last year. Food is always good, order is never messed up. One particular thing I like is they always repeat your order and take their time doing it. Your never rushed so they get it right. The buns are sometimes soggy when they get to you and it seems the bun on the maxi isnt big enough but its not that big of a deal, I def recommend giving them a try. not expensive and good food. hope this helps

Israeli-owned burger joint = Quality
Six months ago Joy Burger Bar opened on Sixth Avenue and Washington Place (in the Village). It wasn't until I heard a friend who works at Lifethyme organic grocery saying how good it is that I decided to try it. He was right. Yes, it's kind of fast food, but the burgers are charbroiled, the shakes are thick and the fries are crispy. It's a great $12 meal. I got my food to go, but there's quite a scene going on there, if you're an NYU student or simply dig that kind of vibe. Anyway, while waiting, I got talking to the owner and learned he's Israeli and it made sense. Every Israeli-owned restaurant that has opened nearby in the past few years has turned-out to be fairly cheap and fairly excellent. Nice addition to the neighborhood.

Best Burger in Harlem
A couple of friends have been talking about Joy Burger so I decided to give it a try. I placed a take out order and was blown away. The girl who answered the phone was so pleasant and patient with my questions which is so unusual for restaurants in New York. When the food arrived the burgers were grilled to perfection. Well done but not overcooked, and the sweet potato fries were so good. Will be ordering again soon.
