Found My New Favorite Spot!
I LOVE this restaurant. There aren't many places that offer this kind of quality food, with portion sizes that are this generous in New York. I was also impressed with the pricing. Anytime you eat organic, you have to expect to spend more than other restaurants because the food costs for the restaurant are also much higher than other establishments. But the prices were surprisingly reasonable for organic foods! Also, the service was fantastic. Our waitress was so nice and fun, and everyone was having such a great time...I'm already making plans to go back with some friends who've never been there. Everything we ate was wonderful, and our waitress was really knowledgeable of the menu and I ordered everything she recommended and felt well taken care of. I eat out a lot and so many waiters have no idea what their own menu is like and I always feel like it's a gamble. I had a great time, and I'm already craving that apple pie again...

Interesting entrees/excellent desserts
Dinner for 6 on a Saturday night--reservation made and table waiting for us. Favorites among entree choices were uncooked rice with shrimp, skirt steak , and fajitas. Lemon curd/vanilla meringue pie was excellent! But explain this--Was going to order liter of sangria but waiter said that they had run out of fruit---but it would taste the same (what no fruit in NYC?--probably not organic). --passed on the sangria and we ordered beer and wine instead.

Wow!
I went to Josie's, with plans eat light...maybe a soup and salad. My server told me that the skirt steak was his favorite item, and described it to a tee. He also suggested I try it with their South African Shiraz. It was DELICIOUS, the entire meal, start to finish!! The flavor, the texture, the smell...This was well worth the money. And the service was some of the best I've had in this city. My server didn't feed me a line of crap and didn't have a bad attitude. He answered my questions honestly, even telling me a few things on the menu that might not give me as good an experience as I might like...where else do you get servers who don't pretend to love everything on the menu. I will definately be back...soon!

Love its food
Josie's has great food and service at a moderate price and very spacious atmosphere. It's a must try.

Good food. Poor service.
Waited over 45 minutes for food. The food was cold by the time we got it. Waiter was pretending to act clueless. Big dissapointment.

Good concept, but not worth it
I love natural, organic and conscious food, and and I appreciate Josie's attempt in purveying such food. BUT the menu is way over priced and the dishes are lacking in flavor and portion. The sushi portions are the most disappointing. If you're interested in the food because it's healthy and natural, then I suggest trying other restaurants in the city that do a much better job at it, and for a better price.

Great Food & Great Portions
The ambiance is great, cute enough for a date. Even though the prices are a bit high, the food is very fresh and tasty. The portions are really big - I ordered the portabello fajitas and even though it only came with 2 tortillas, there's enough filling for at least 4 or 5! Extremely tasty. The un-fried wok rice is surprisingly delicious even though it sounded way too healthy on the menu. The sushi was a bit disappointing though - the special rolls are very small, not like those in a sushi restaurant. Service was great. I would definitely go back!
