    Delivery not recommended

The first time I ordered Josie's for delivery it took an hour. The second time it also took an hour and they messed up my order--when I called to complain they said it would be another 25 min before they could bring it back--mind you, I live 5 blocks away from the restaurant. I asked them to cancel my order, but they would only give me a credit. So I was forced to order delivery again. This time they took 45 minutes and forgot to give me bread which I asked for specifically w/ the order.

    Going Downhill

Had dinner there last night with friends (age mid 60's). Plusses- Still has some nice veggie dishes. Prices fairly reasonable for NYC. "Bus" people very good. Negatives- Poor service (Wait people) - generally clueless. Food- Lukewarm to cold- Much less interesting than in the past.. Cornbread- Dry as a bone. Noise level- Very high- All hard surfaces (Tables, floors, walls). As in many restaurants catering to 20-30 somethings, care for the customer is limited at best. No value for the money here. Worked too hard for it. Will not return.

Nic e Tendy Spot in Murray Hill

This place is always a good place to go for lunch or dinner anytime during the week. Good selection of food with an interesting fusion flavor. Be prepared to wait, but in all i'de say it's a very good pick. Friendly staff, and generally full of very good looking patrons (almost all women)

the worst service and long wait time

Even with a reservation I had to wait 20 min. to be seated. Service was terribly awful and mistakenly I was added items I didn't order on my receipt. At a later time when I attempted to order for home delivery i was told, that to place an order they need my phone number which somehow was already used by someone else. I ended up ordering from another restaurant.

    My favorite NYC restaurant

I have eaten at Josie's a number of time and ordered a variety of entrees. I have yet to be disappointed. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious, healthful food which is reasonably priced. Josie's can't be beat!

    Perfection every time!

I have been to Josie's on 3rd Avenue at least 30 times and you get the same thing everytime - consistently delicious healthy cuisine that almost seems too good to be true! The Yukon Gold Steamed dumplings are worth going alone - the tomato coulis sauce needs to be bottled. The Nori sushi roll is light and fresh with sauteed spinach and grilled portobello mushrooms. As an entree, the portobello mushroom fajitas, the salads and the stir-frys are terrific choices. The vegetarian meat loaf is beyond satisfying. Josie's offers the most delicious healthy beverages - do not leave without trying the Mango Lemonade. The staff is so warm and helpful with every dish - very friendly but not overwhelming... Josie's features many vegetarian and overall dairy-free cooking - but you would never know!

    Incredibly delicious, highly recommend

I have been to Josie's on several occasions and I have always left with a smile on my face. Recently I had brunch there which was really delicious and satisfying. You are first served this scrumptous apple, crumble cake which is light and fluffy and not too sweet with apple sauce to dip. A perfect way to start the day. I ordered their warm vegetable salad that came with zucchini, carrots, tofu, avocado, corn, and a few more vegetables tossed in a balsamic vinagrette. My friend ordererd their macadamia banana healthy pancakes which came with a strawberry butter and maple syrup and fruit. Both very absolutely delicious (I tried one of her pancakes) and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a hearty and healthy delicious meal. In addition we had mimosas with our brunch which was quite tasty as well. The waitress was very sweet and the atmosphere was great. They were playing Britney Spear's cd in the background who I happen to love, but for those who do not like her the music was very soft and only those that are familiar with her songs could recognize it was even on. Enjoy!
