slow and drab
We work in the neighborhood and have been here 3 times within the last month. The food was dull and drab-although the fries are good. The service is subpar. Young, distracted wait staff who are not attentive and ring up the bills incorrectly. Keep walking when you happen upon this place for lunch. It's not worth the $10.

Good for what it is
Basically a place where people go to try to find someone to hook up with and watch the game. Food is average, service is good. Expect a big crowd that is in the late 20's to early 30's. Good place for the experienced single drinker.

mediocre food
I went here for lunch with some out of town guests. The bar restaurant only had people at 3 tables. All guests got served before us-- even the ones that came after us. We sat for 45 minutes before the hard-as-a-rock potato skins came. I waited an hour and 10 minutes and my entree had still not come out yet-- so I had to return to work-- hungry and disappointed. The waitress removed the meal from the check and I left my guests who remained waiting for their meals. What a disappointment!

Absolutely Fabulous Darling!
We found this little treasure on the third night of our trip and came back twice more before the week was over. It is situated on a lovely tree lined avenue, nestled among a throng of Bistros and eateries, this street FEELS like cosmopolitan NYC. The music was an eclectic 80's mix, right up our street. It is a sports bar but the seating upstairs and at the back, feels like a bistro. The bar staff was efficient and friendly. Every time we were here we were seated promptly by very efficient, friendly (and cute) waitresses. They brought our drinks promptly and took our orders fast. We had, Baked Clams - Yum yum yum Crab Cakes - Good Fajitas - I asked for combo and they obliged - soooo much food came I felt like a pig. They were extremely tasty with good cuts of meat. Salmon - my Fiancee had this twice, very tasty Empire state burger - Best burger I have ever had. So to sum up, we will be returning here when we visit NYC again, I suggest you so yourself a favour and spend an evening at the Joshua Tree.

What a night
We have just come back from NY and spent our last night in this pub the food was great, the service even better and the live ice hockey entertaining on the large screens. I would certainly recommend this for a night out.

The JT rocks!
The Joshua Tree is one of my favorite places to visit in the city. The food is surprisingly better than what you would come to expect for "bar food" and the atmosphere is great. If you love 80's music, this is your place, after 10PM they crank it up along with music videos on all of their TV's. The bartenders are super friendly and if you open a tab and stick with the same one all night you are guaranteed a few buybacks. After 11PM the place is always packed. It's definitely the place to go!

World's Greatest Bar
I have no idea what these people are talking about. First of all, if you are 20 something and love 80's music then you will love this bar. Drinks are resonably priced, the barstaff is amazing and the crowd is really fun and nice. Also, the majority of the people there are pretty hot! Overall a super fun bar!
