My family loves Joloff's food, and we have had good dining experiences at the restaurant and with take-away. A major concern, however, is that the restaurant advertises that they deliver. However, for four times in a row, between Spring and now late summer 2011, when we called to order food for delivery, they said there was no delivery service. Among the ridiculous excuses given, were 1. that their delivery person just quit and 2. that none of their guys really knows the neighborhood. Priceless? At the end of the day, if over 5-6 months you can't hire appropriate delivery staff, then don't advertise that you deliver. I've made the decision that my family will no longer support Joloff until this problem is addressed.

My friends and I ate at this restaurant and enjoyed their sweet plantains, rice, curry tofu, fish and sweet, warm Senegalese Beignets! We will definitely visit this restaurant again and the prices are reasonable.

My wonderful friends called on Joloff to cater my Fela-themed baby shower. Fish and okra, couscous, joloff rice, salad and tomato chicken. It was spectacular. As a Naija girl, who has grown up eating fufu, pepper soup and moin moin, I assure you, the meal was flavorful. We had over 60 guests and all were amazed. And now, 6 months later, my son and I can't wait for our delivery of yassa jeun. Thanks Papa

Yesterday was my first time having West African food and I must say Joloff did an amazing job at making my first time a memorable one! Joloff catered my job's annual meeting reception food and it was absolutely amazing. The food was flavorful and delicious. I can't comment on the restaurant staff, its atmosphere or even the food to portion ratio, but I will say that I will be eating from Joloff again in the future!

i have been going to joloff for almost three years now and it gets better every time. my sister decided to celebrate her fiance's 30th b'day there and it was amazing! we were able to have the restaurant to ourselves on a sunday from 12-7. it was a prefix menu with enough appetizers,food and drinks to go around. they were very very accommodating, patient and kind to us. we felt as if we were at home celebrating an intimate bday and not at a restaurant. i would DEF celebrate another event in their space. thank you mr. 'joloff' =)

This was where my boyfriend took me on our first date. It was a pleasant experience having West African cuisine for the very first time. My boyfriend is a veggie head and I'm always willing to try something different so I suggested that he order us the same dish. He ordered the veggie patties as an appetizer topped with a tangy sauce which I loved and the entree was an assortment of steamed veggies, rice, and a nicely seasoned spicy gravy. I had a ginger drink that cleanse the palate upon every sip but was indeed refreshing. To top it off the ambience with sounds of African music, art, and the warm lighting was relaxing. I recommend to anyone curious enough to venture into African cuisine.

I've been eating at Joloff's for several years and always recommend it for the great taste, especially the Joloff Chicken, Joloff Rice, and Joloff Cocktail (ginger and sorrel)
