The space was simply decorated and would have probably been great if it weren't for restaurant week. The tuna rolls were delicious and my hanger steak with asparagus was so tender is practically melted in my mouth! We also ordered the flavored sodas which were pretty interesting. The ginger soda has a strong ginger taste and the passion chili soda definitely has a kick to it. No complaints, we were very satisfied with the meal.

My husband and I arrived early for Restaurant week on a very hot evening, and there was nowhere to stand and waitthe bar had no chairs, so we were forced to take a walk in 90 degree heat while our table was being prepared. Our server was very pleasant and informed. We ordered from the regular menufor appetizersthe crab cake was fried and not made of lump crabmeat (but had a delicious lemon sauce), the shrimp salad was dull. The duck in my main dish was cooked perfectly, but the pastry was filled with something with entirely too much pepper. My husband's lamb was delicious. Our wine was nice and service was very attentive, but we were practically sitting on the laps of other guests because the tables were so closeprivate converstations were impossible at any volume. Probably a good place for lunch with a friend, but not for a romantic night with the hubby. Either way, the stars seem to come much more easily here in New York than they do in Europe...OVERALLa GOOD but not wonderful restaurant for our $215.00 bill.

I went here last week with my roommate, who had been before and was raving about it. We shared a crabcake appetizer then she got fish (I think salmon) and I had short ribs. The appetizer was small and expensive. My ribs were on the fatty side- I've definitely had much better for about half the price. The decor is definitely very nice though. Overall, the food wasn't good enough for the price.

We celebrated our anniversary at JoJo and couldn't have asked for a more romantic, blissful evening. The atmosphere alone was cozy with soft lighting, candles and comfy chairs, oh and the food...ahh! The delicate mushroom ravioli with asparagus juice just melted in our mouths and the orange scented shrimp was delicious. The short ribs and half roasted chicken were both filling, gourmet comfort foods. And the passion fruit pavlova was light, tart and divine.

The food was divine!... from the ravioli appetizer to the delicious raspberry crisp dessert. My friend and I walked in without reservations on a Saturday night and were promptly seated. Loved the townhouse location, the decor was rich and cozy, and the atmosphere relaxed. Great service and a great place all around.

We sat upstairs in a corner table near the window and it was beautiful. The service was great and very attentive. We started with some champagne by the glass. Appetizers were the scallop special and the shrimp dusted in orange which was flavorful and nice. Main courses were the cod which was very delicate and flavorful but could have used a touch less salt in my opinion. We also had the poached lobster which was very decadent. Dessert were the trio of sorbet (grapefruit, apple and chocolate). The only thing that came wrong was that I ordered mint tea and they brought out cammomile. JOJO is a fabulous, romantic restaurant that you will want to return to.
