Nothing Special
I was dissapointed. Nothing special at all about it. I am a great dumpling lover, and their dumplings were nothing close to special. Just your run of the mill Chinese Restaurant. I still stand by Joe's Shanhai as havingthe best pork dumplings in the city. You know a Chinese restaurant is good when Chinese people in China Town prefer to eat there. Nice family style eating atmosphere and amazing food.

Not impressed
After reading the other reviews here, we decided that this would be a convenient to the theatre kind of place... The upstairs dining room very tight seating. Music blaring, service slow. Dumplings and steamed buns were cold... The food was ok...maybe they were having an off day.

Great dumplings!
The best dumplings I've ever had--even when compared to the authentic soup dumplings from the dumpling house in Shanghai! I grew up in Shanghai and have gone back a couple times, and the dumplings here are just as good, if not even better, than the ones I've had there. Make sure you eat your dumplings correctly: with chopsticks and a spoon to catch all the soup. I winced when I saw novices around who ate it with a fork and knife, because they're missing the best part of the dumplings (the soup!) Other recommendations: scallion pancakes, crispy beef. Don't listen to the people who say that they don't do authentic Chinese food right because they don't do General Tsao's chicken correctly--anyone who actually eats "authentic" Chinese food knows that General Tsao's is NOT real Chinese food anyways. When you come here, order the REAL dishes (soup dumplings, of course), not the Americanized knock-offs. The service isn't the best, but the dumplings are cheap. The rest of the menu prices are just okay, and maybe even a little more than the average Chinatown menu. But the dumplings should be what you would come for.

Yummy Chinese!
As a chinese american, I think the food here is excellent. It is hard to get quality chinese food around midtown and I would compare this food to Chinatown! I highly recommend the juicy buns. Good stuff!

Very good Chinese food!
If you're looking for good chinese food in Times Square, then you should try this place. The dumplings were excellent, so tasty! And the price is not that expensive. Would recommend to others!

Very Affordable Midtown Lunch
I went there with a co-worker for lunch and found prompt seating and yummy crunchy sesame snacks at our table. Food was good. Went for the dumplings, they were OK. I like Dumpling Man's better though. Great service.

Not recommended
Not recommended. food tastes over-sprayed with MSG. Service was poor as well.
