We ordered a large cheese pizza and two different pasta dishes; Spinach ravioli and penne arrabiata. Everything was delicious. This all washed down with a couple of beers! The atmosphere is great. It has an old time feel to it and it is wonderful seeing the wood-burning oven in the corner. Staff was very helpful and efficient.

This is my favourite place to eat in NYC. You enter a tiny enterance, but walk into a huge church like hall and are served the best thin crust pizza in town. I have been here so many times and I have never been disappointed. Quick attentive service, quality pizza and the bar staff look after you when you wait for a table during the theatre rush hour. Great place to people watch as well!

A lovely space in an old church this place kind of takes you by surprise at the size of it compared to how it looks from the outside. The service was a bit sketchy but I couldn't call it bad. Nice choice of starters and a perfect thin crust pizza, cooked to perfection and with a lovely sauce. The wine list is a bit pricey in relation to the quality of what you get but hey ho. All in all, the only good place for pizza in Times Square.

Some of the best pizza I've ever had, great service. I was surprised to see how big it was inside, very nice. Will definately go back on my next visit.

Ate early dinner on Thursady night prior to seeing Mary Poppins. Place was probably 1/2 full when we arrived but had a wait line by the time we left. We were seated and had drinks on our table in less than 5 minutes. The food came out hot and all together. The pasta dishes were excellent and the chicken parm per my husband was excellent. The service was quite good, he was there when we needed something but didn't hover. We had a great time, we will definitely go back on our next trip.

For many years, my husband and I have enjoyed coming to this establishment. We liked everything...the location, atmosphere, service and food. We were very surprised and disappointed on our latest visit this past week. Everything was right on par except the food. The pizza was oily and rubbery. We realized immediately just by looking and not yet tasting that something was different and not for the better. I'm sorry to say that we probably won't be back.

Have been to Johnny's on W.44th every time we've visited NYC. And have always had great pizzas there. The pies are very reminiscent of those thin-crust wonders available at Matteo's Pizzeria in Naples (the absolute best pizza in the universe!). Atmosphere is nice with the open ovens and prep areas in the bowels of what was once a church. Service is not particularly attentive especially given the fact that we were eating after seeing Talk Radio and there was not the usual throng of diners present. Value is great with reasonable prices for very high quality! No doubt in my mind that we'll keep going back to Johnny's whenever we're in NYC.
