John's is one of those rare restaurants that combines great tasting food, affordable prices, unique atmosphere and prompt service! The thin crust pizza is loved by the kids and the salad can be shared by three! The sandwiches are generously filled with the right combination of meats and cheeses and toasted to perfection! And, if you are in a time jam for a show, the service is quick! On the other hand, if you just want to relax after the show, no one rushes you out the door once the last forkfull hits your mouth. The ONLY thing I would add-and this is a minor item-is that John's serve half and half with the tea and coffee. Milk is OK but a spot of cream/half and half would be perfecto!!!

I normally eat at John's every time I come to NYC, several times a year. I won't again. I took my family on Wed. Aug. 31st. at noon. The pizza was obviously reheated and the calzone was also. It was burned on the outside and inside was cold.

Probably one of the best pizza places I've been to. But they also have great pasta! The people are EXTREMELY friendly. Just all and all wonderful.

Good food, cavernous space in an old chuch with a cool mural of Manhattan. And if you like muscular Latino busboys, by all means, go! Go now! There's one working here that is hot-hot hot. You'll know it when you see him, and you'll be back, trust me.

I have been to both of John's Pizzeria locations and both experiences were great but the Times Square location was great. The place is roomier and less cramped than the one dowtown. The pizza was GREAT and the staff so nice. Pleasant experience to enjoy with friends and family. Check it out. Best pizza in the city.

John's Pizzeria makes the finest pizza in all of new york city and possibly the USA. Please take note that pizzas are sold by the pie (not by slices) and it's thin crust style only (thick crust chicago style or personal pies are not available). Here's the secret to their wonderful tasting pizza. It is made with the finest and freshest ingredients (dough, mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce) and cooked in an old-fashioned brick oven (where the heat is randomly disbursed) that produces a unique tasty crunchiness to the pizza. Unlike most pizzerias, John's does not use conventional metal ovens where heat is evenly distributed and produces the same bland texture all the time. You can choose from a list of over 15 possible toppings and still feel overwhelmed by the endless combinations of toppings. My wife's personal favorite pie is the small (six slices) margherita topped off with sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms. Considering that the restaurant is located in the heart of Times Square, be prepared to wait 30-45 mins for a table during busy nights. The restaurant resides in a renovated theater with a mezzanine level. The crowd is mixed with native new yorkers as well as theatergoers grabbing a bite before the evening performances. The prices are reasonable but well worth the price of admission for the best tasting pizza in town.

For some misguided reason, I had low expectations for this restuarant - but John's Pizzeria blew me away! It's great for every occasion - I've taken friends, family, and it can be romantic too. Large groups, small groups, before the theater, after a movie. You name it. It's the prefect place.
