Truth.
I was in a rush to get out of the city with my family and we needed somewhere good and fast. My aunt was raving about John's Pizzeria on 64th street so we took a taxi and went. We got in, and my taste buds were tingling just thinking about eating the food there. Their garlic bread was amazing, the mozzerella squares were the best i ever tasted, AND THE PIZZA... was truly the best in the city. I love John's.

Used to be good
It used to be good here, not sure why they changed things, but the pizza is super soggy now, and not very good. Kind of a bummer, used to really like it.

Used to be number one
I used to eat here at least twice a week, but the food has gone down hill. I am not exactly sure what is wrong, but the cheese seems oilier which makes the bread soggy. (there is no difference between the cheese/sauce and the bread) I have always found the staff to be nice and helpful (I do not have the heart to tell them their food has declined hopefully they will read it) Please go back to what made your pizza the best. I used to eat 4 slices and have the leftovers the next day. My most recent encounter I had two slices (because I was starving ) and threw the other six away. what a shame.

Incredible pizza, go early.
I am a total sucker for John's pizza... it isn't the most orthodox brick oven old world pizza (go to Patsy's if you want that), but it is a piece of heaven in every bite. I'm a little embarrassed to admit that my boyfriend and I usually end up here for dinner once every weekend. The service is decent, and the restaurant is fairly cozy (love the booths). Just do yourself a favor and go at 6:15 instead of 7... it gets WAY crowded very quickly at a certain point each night, and the service does get a lot worse once that happens.

What is this world coming to?
John's Pizza is definitely my favorite pizza in the area. That is the crux of the problem. I have recently enountered a new problem with them. The $20 minumum delivery. Tell me something... Is John's pizza doing so well that they can't bother to deliver my a pizza for under $20? I guess bringing me a small pizza is not worth their time. I bet Gotham Pizza will. I am going to call them right now.

Sorely Disappointed
After reading the mostly glowing reviews here, we decided to order a large pizza with a side of meatballs. Nothing too complicated. An hour and fifteen minutes later, our food arrived. The pizza was cold, the cheese had been burnt, and the "side" of meatballs consisted of . . . two meatballs.
