Poor food quality!
I have just tried johns restaurant for my first time, I ordered the chicken Parm dinner. The chicken was dry and low grade. It looked and taste like it came from the frozen food section in the grocery store. In addition the marinara sauce was poor tasting and comparable to jar marinara sauce with a mussy side of pasta. This was my first and last time ever eating there. A waste of $22.00 dollars.

The Best in NYC
John's has been the best for the 25 years I have lived in this city and the expansion has only given more people the opportunity to taste John's. I'm glad they deliver and the food is wonderful with prompt and courteous service. I love John's and so do all of my out of town guests!!

Great for the area, good generally, delivery rocks
We moved to the neighborhood about a year ago from the LES/EV... needless to say the food up here is disappointing and is laughably overpriced, so we've been dealing with the fact that its basically Turkish, Chinese, Pizza, or bad Sushi. We've never been there so I can't account for the restaurant, but the pizza is great for the area (thin crust, good balance). It would be good more generally. Basically it's a dolop on top kind of pie... premade with cheese, then stuffs added on. In terms of delivery, we order from John's once a week, and are literally stunned by the speed. We're on 71st, they're on 66th 2 blocks over, it gets here in, I kid you not, 20-25 minutes every time. Anyway, if you live in the area this is a great, reliable, decently priced place. Is it a top 5 pizza place for NYC? No, of course not, but for $18 on a sunday I just need a reliable, tasty pie, and this place delivers that every time. It's worth it.

Better than most
A few weeks after eating in a disappointing famous Brooklyn pizzeria, we tried John's and it was terrific. Great crust, sauce, and we asked for fresh mozzarella only, which is the only way to go. Much better than the pizzerias always in the news and on the tourist circuit.

Not NY's best pizza
Sorry - but someone needs to write it. As a long time resident of NYC (over 20 years) I have to say how utterly absurd it is to claim this is our city's best pizza. Do yourself a favor, keep looking and ignore the just plain silly review that proudly claims this is the best NYC has to offer. It isn't - not even freakin' close.

hmmmmm mm good!
I have been a John's customer longer than I dare mention. From Bleeker, to Times Sq (area) and of course my street, 64th from the day they opened here. Thank you Lord!. I'll make this simple---this is the best pizza in "all of New York" That's right, I said the best! and even signed my name to attest to the fact!

What a disappointment!
"35 minutes" turned into an hour, wet box, cold pizza and burnt cheese! calamari arrives oily and soggy due to improper packaging. John's pizza used to be the best, now I save it for last!
