I had the greatest meal. A tuscan Ragu sauce over home made pasta. No meal will ever compare. All of my trips to New York will revolve around dinner at John's!

Since I first came here on a business deal, the Mgr "Mike" always is sure that I am doing well and that the service I receive is A+. The food is always great (the garlic bread is one of kind) and you do not have to wait all night for your food. The waiter's do not even allow your water glass to become half full without refilling. This is by far my favorite Italian eatery in all of N.Y.C. Highly reccomended.

Always fresh, great atmosphere, good old fashioned Italian food, nothing fancy, but everything hearty.

This place had been recommended to me by a friend. I don't know what he was thinking!! Our reservation, made the day before, was lost and we waited over an hour for a table. The service was shoddy- with things spilled on the table without even an I'm sorry from the waiter- dirty silverware- incorrect menu items brought to our table. It may have been an off night but I wouldn't go back.

John's is perfect for traditional Italian-American dishes of baked pasta, cheese, and tomato sauce. You'll find no innovations here, but old favorites such as eggplant parmagiana, rollatini, and good old plain pasta and sauce. What makes John's different, however, is the care and flavor that is put into each dish. The prices are moderate, but once you taste the food, it will be worth it. The portions are also very large. Water glasses were kept full, and though the place was crowded, it was possible to carry on a conversation without shouting. I'd definitely go again.
