fantastic coffee
their coffee is fantastic! if you're a bit of a coffee snob, you'll love the smooth, rich taste. it absolutely surpasses anything you can get at dunkin donuts or starbucks. the chelsea location is more low key more comfortable than the super-crowded west village location. the barista's are nice. i love this place!

overrated!
Can you say beyond slow service?! I have never seen anything like it. Couple that with ok coffee that is way overpriced and average tasting at best and scones that are so-so...keep walking down the block to dunkin' donuts!

A great cafe!
When I saw the sign in the window that Joe was coming to this location I did a double take. I have been a huge fan since they opened on Waverly Place, but am not often in that part of town. Now they are close to work and I stop in a few times a week. Really phenomenal coffee! I don't often eat pastries but I had a brownie there the other day and it was very good. The prices are a bit high for me, but its the going rate for good coffee in this town and there is just no comparison to what you get for the same price at Starbucks. I love the Grumpy cafe over on 20th near 7th ave, but I think Joe is even better. Its great to be spoilt for choice!
