They were booked but found a table for us. The ambiance is charming, the wait staff accommodating (food allergies, etc), although could be more attentive and the food was very good. I will certainly come back. You should give it a try

Let me tell you about my lunch experience at Joanne on Friday, May 25th. We were coming up on the holiday weekend. I wanted to take some of my employees out for a nice lunch before the long weekend. We were four people. When we arrived at 12:15 PM, we were the only customers in the whole restaurant. By the time we finished lunch, there was only one more table of two people that had come in. I only tell you this because it's not like they were so busy they couldn't take better care of us. There were only TWO occupied tables over the course of two hours. Lunch was a total disaster -- and a complete rip-off too!!! I ordered several appetizers for us to share and several main courses as well. We all sat at the table for nearly 40 minutes waiting for something to nibble on, anything at all. I asked for bread multiple times -- nothing. I mean nothing. I ordered a couple of salads for us to share. They charged me $9.00 additional as a "sharing fee". Please -- give me a break! When the main courses FINALLY arrived, they were ok -- but cold. I kid you not. I emailed and telephoned the General Manager when I got back to my office. It was obvious to me that he couldn't care less. He told me that they don't have bread at lunchtime, only at dinner. Seriously? His day chef told me that the food was hot when he cooked it, but that it must have gotten cold from the air conditioner vents that were blowing on our table. The General Manager made NO attempt to make things any better. He basically got very defensive, and would not accept any responsibility on the part of the restaurant for anything having been done wrong. In fact, in so many ways, he tried to blame ME (the customer) for the poor ob that they had all done. I was pretty surprised, to say the least. Not listening to your customers is the surest way of ruining your business. Dinner may be OK at "Joanne", but lunch is not worth the time or money -- at all. I spent $170 for lunch there (food only, no alcohol) -- a total waste!

We had 8pm reservations on a Saturday night... didn't sit until closer to 9pm. The restaurant is not large - so for us to sit down at our table after waiting almost an hour and not have a server come over to us for 10 minutes is unacceptable. After several attempts to get a server's attention, a nice young lady (who apparently sings opera - you must hear her happy b-day rendition!) came over to greet us and take our drink orders. She was really nice, but that still didn't help the perpetually delinquent service. Finally another waiter came over and took our order (they were out of the lasagna amongst other things). To sum it up, appetizers were hit or miss and the main dishes were inedible. Meatball appetizers came out... they were unappetizing. The sauce was bland, - like they just poured canned tomatoes onto a plate! The meatballs were dry and almost inedible. Onto the main dishes... My wife had the eggplant parm, I had the bone-in rib eye, the couple we were with had a pasta and a chicken dish. Our friend's chicken dish smelled like stale vinegar and my wife's eggplant parm was unappetizing. The only thing you could taste was dry breadcrumbs. My steak came out medium well when I had ordered medium rare (seriously, how hard is that to screw up??) 30 minutes passes, NOBODY comes by to ask about everyone meals or why my food hadn't come out! Finally by 11pm, I've had it.. I get up and go speak with a manager to express my disappointment with our service/food.. he was very apologetic and said he would check on my food and make sure someone came by to correct the problems. Truly poor food.
