good food, good value
I recommend: pan fried flounder, salt and pepper squid, peking pork chops, pan fried seafood noodle, beef tendon with bitter melon, snow pea shoots in garlic sauce, carp belly in ginger scallion sauce

Wontons - Wontons - Wontons
J.M. is the best value for the dollar anywhere in NY. They have the best wontons and soups of any restaurant or noodle shop East of Hong Kong.

Great food
We order delivery from J.M. a few times a week, it's great. My only problem is that the people are a little on the rude side. I recommend the rice plates, they're incredibly cheap and come with so much food. One issue I've often had with them, however, is that no matter what vegetable dish I order they always send me Chinese broccoli instead. They repeat the order to me correctly, but I somehow ALWAYS end up with Chinese broccoli. Don't get me wrong, it's incredibly tasty, it just isn't what I ordered. The delivery is fast and the food is fresh so it makes it worth it to have them always get my order slightly wrong.

Hard to describe how good it is.
Went there for the first time last week and it was well worth the cab fare from soho as I had no idea how to get there on subway or foot. The food was amazing, much better than I expected. The roast duck is one of the best I've had in my life and I've had a lot all over the world. Also, I tried some flash fried prawn-on-skewer dish that was amazing. The portions are very good and the prices were jaw-dropping. I was trying to hold it up and pretend that it was totally normal. Oh and our waiter was more sincere than the "actor" robot types I've encountered at other more expensive places. This guy was certainly passionate and proud of the food served there. Anyway, it is not to be missed. I will be going back this weekend again. This time on foot....

One of Chinatown's original restaurants
This restaurant has been here for quite a while. Locals flock here for congee in the morning, and rice dishes for the evening. It's cheap, fresh and most importantly DELICIOUS!
