I Don't Get It
People line up at holidays AROUND THE BLOCK to get the turkeys from this place. Are they really that good? Because the food isn't. I called tonight for a delivery and was not greeted by an employee but an automated message with an annoying, impersonal voice that kept going and going. I waited for about 7 or 8 minutes before anyone picked up my call. Then I was told by a not so friendly girl that they were no longer delivering. I asked her what time they stop, she said 830. It was 8:28 on my clock...but hey, maybe hers is faster. Went and picked up the food instead and it was just very blah. No seasoning. No taste. Dry Turkey.

Confused
The turkey sandwich is good... tastes like chicken... and mango lemonade is delicious. The mac and cheese was bland--no seasoning, no cheese? I want to order a fried turkey for Thanksgiving this year but I'm scared. If they screw up mac and cheese (Kraft does a better job out the box) can I really trust them to prepare a whole turkey? My mama will go off if I screw up her Thanksgiving dinner!

Don't Get It
Was excited to try out this restaurant when I saw on a tv program. Don't you have to serve good food to be featured on tv? Obviously not. Place is very small with bar area and about six stools for seating but I could live with that. What I can't live with is going out for a meal and having it taken out of a refrigerator and heated up in a microwave. If I wanted nuked food I would have stayed home and had a lean cuisine. As for the meal itself, I had the turkey wing with a side of mac n' cheese and yams. Turkey lacked flavor and was dry (hmm! could that be because it was nuked to death). Mac n' cheese was okay but yams had crushed pineapple in it which completely ruined it for me since that's all I was tasting. The two people who joined me for this disastrous experience were of the same opinion as well. Tasteless food with slow, almost unfriendly service for a not so cheap price (about $17 for meal and drink that's not freshly prepared and eaten sitting on a stool). I guess the only tasty thing I had was the soda.

disappointed
I ordered their cajun turkey in December and not only was it expensive, but dry and bland. After seeing this place on food network, I thought I was in for a treat-NOT! My aunt lives in BK and I told her about this place, she too tried it, only her visit was in person. Her turkey was just as dry and flavorless as mine. This place will not be in business for long.

Real fried turkey
I have had fried turkey before and this was not it. The turkey was way to dry with no flavor.

Disappointed
My sister and I went to this restaurant this past weekend because we were very anxious to try out the fried turkey and support a minority owned business. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. Upon arriving, we went to place our orders and were horrified to see that the food was pre packaged. We were told by the staff to pick out our selections from the refrigerated shelves and they would heat them up for us or we could take the food home and re heat the food in a microwave. I had the Red wine cranberry turkey along with the macaroni and cheese and the Yam Brulee with Ginger and Rum. The food was expensive and tasted horrible! I don't know who came up with the idea to mix Ginger and Rum with yams because this dish was so horrible I threw it out. There was so much ginger in this dish that I could not taste the yams. The fried turkey was dry and hard. The best thing about the turkey was the sauce and there was not that much of it. The macaroni and cheese was just average. We really wanted to like this place but the food is just not good. I cannot understand what all the hype is about this place. My sister threw her food out and went to a fish house nearby to get some more food. The owner needs to go back to the drawing board and figure out a way to improve the taste of the food that is on the menu. This was the first time that I have ever tasted fried turkey and based on this experience I will not be trying it again. Yuck! If you are looking for some good soul food I highly recommend Amy Ruth's in Harlem.

Wackness
I was sooo looking forward to trying this place after hearing how great and unique it was. Plus, I've been wanting to try fried turkey for quite a while after hearing all the hype. So walking in there I was all pumped. Boy, was I disappointed. I decided to order the "Fried Turkey Dish with Gravy" in order to get an "authentic" fried turkey experience. You have no idea how surprised I was when the cashier stepped around the counter and reached into the open refrigerator I was standing next to that had all of the items on the menu pre-packaged! She goes back around with what I ordered and asks, "Do you want it warmed up?" Huh?!?! No way could this be the place everyone was raving about! I was tempted to just cancel my order right then and there but I figured I might as well just go through with it. The food was beyond mediocre and I couldn't even tell the difference that it was fried turkey after it had been nuked! It tasted like it was straight oven-roasted to me. And not even fresh! The meat was dry and tough, and I had a ridiculous time trying to saw through it with a plastic fork and knife. To put it bluntly, this place was subpar and was way overpriced. I wouldn't even give it another try, what with it being so out of the way. Save your money and go someplace better, closer and more affordable.
