Below Average
Jin has a nice vibe but the food here is neither that creative nor that good. The "Japanese Pizza" had virtually none of the traditional elements - it was like a deep fried rice cake with slabs of mushy salmon laid across. The sauces on the fish were beautifully presented, but bland. Gyoza were pretty good. Weak drinks and food being snatched before we had finished rounded out a less than fabulous experience. Sorry, Jin, but it just wasn't the best experience.

Slow service
Seems like they have a lack of waiters. we had to wait a while for service and get the waiter's attention for soy sauce and the check. The tea was luke warm, not hot either. If you don't care about service, the food is ok.

Surprised how good the fish was!
I didn't expect a BYOB place to have such good food, but it did! They charge a corking fee and each (mixer) drink you order afterwards, but after the meal I had plenty to eat and plenty to drink and left paying under $50 per person!

Good sushi for delivery on LES
We love Jin! We order in from there every week or two and the food is always solid, fresh, and filling. Their regular rolls are good and special rolls plentiful, but the quality of the fish is top for a non-designer sushi spot, sushi, sashimi or rolls. Shumai, gyoza and some other apps are standard, but good as well. The delivery is always consistent, and their prices are not bad either.

Good Sushi in the LES
We went on a Friday night and there was no crowd at all. Jin would be a great place to bring a bunch of people. The food was very good but not exceptional - standard sushi, but good for the LES. The sake menu was extensive and very accessible in its descriptions for those of us who love sake but are not terribly cultured in it. Unfortunately our cold sake arrived at room temperature, but when we asked for an ice bucket they were very accommodating. As for the atmosphere, it's quite nice, but there's a strange bar that looks like a sports bar, with a large screen tv. We will definitely go again.
