Delicious fresh sushi! If you during hh everything is $3 - I go here ALL the time! One of my fav sushi spots; the atmosphere is very relaxing.

Some of the reviews here are way out of line with my experience. We're locals and Jin is the first even slightly acceptable sushi joint to appear on the LES. I've eaten there 50 or 60 times. It's OK, sometimes a little more than OK and occasionally a little less. But never much less than OK. Never ever have we encountered anything that needed to be returned or rejected, and we've certainly never had issues in the freshness department. If I would say only one thing about Jin, it would be that it is very dependable, even predictable in its OK-ness.

I've been going to Jin for 3 years now and it's the best sushi for your money in LES. I live closer to poorer sushi places and will go out of my way to go to Jin. Their happy hour is ridiculous. $3 for anything including rolls, sake, beer. I'm going to order delivery from Jin right now

I just ordered sushi from Jin. I spit two pieces out and threw most of the sashimi away. None of it was actually all that edible, however I was really hungry. This is by no stretch the most unappetizing sushi and sashimi that I have ever had. Even the seaweed in the California roll is bad. One Selection of sashimi was still frozen in the center, the tuna Sashimi had the most offensive texture I've come across in sashimi.

So, I've been ordering here for YEARS with totally dependable, fast and fresh food. 3 weeks ago I ordered lunch for me and my cousin. 2 jin rolls, which is the no rice, special roll they offer. I had one and so did she. So, one bite in, I knew it wasn't fresh and did the "breathe back" fish smell test-where if it smells like ammonia. I did not even mention it to my cousin, but she took a bite and said the same, that the fish was off. So I immediately called and expected to have my money refunded, a credit or opportunity to offer something NEW. Nope, the girl who answered was completely useless and said the chef said it was "fresh" so there was nothing she could do. I said I understand, but I've been a loyal customer for years and never once have I complained and even recommended friends to come here. She said "sorry, we can't do anything about it" . I asked to speak to a manager and she said they would call me back. Never have to this day. I hope they read this because they lost a customer for life and I will never, ever, ever recommend a place like this that does not have a clue about rectifying a poor experience to someone that cared so much.

Ordered from here several dozen times and they always deliver in a reasonable amount of time and the delivery staff is always very nice. they keep address and cc info on file, which i consider a plus. the sushi is always fresh and good, green salad is bigger than usual takeout, nabeyaki udon is delicious (tried this in over a dozen nyc takeout places)....for reasonably priced, decent japanese takeout, jin is great

Don't get delivery from these guys. Not only do they take a long time (up to an hour) but they also screw up your order or payment. All of this has happened to me 3 times so take it from me. If you want to go and eat at the restaurant than i'm all for it. 3.5 out of 5 for eating there.
