great joint
Fast, tasty and cheap. Very friendly people; Karen and Jimmy (owner) really try to please. For $5 or $6 for lunch they can't be beat. Try it!

surprise inside...
jimmys house doesnt look like the nicest place, but the food is great and the people are very nice and considerate and will go out of their way to take care of customers. Also, the meats are very good quality (no grizzly parts like at other nearby places that shall remain unnamed). Delivery is fast too...

A No Show
An hour after I ordered, my food has still not arrived. I called, only to find out they were "closed". Never got my food. RIDICULOUS

Get what you pay for
This was my first time ordering here and not only were they NOT able to complete my order but the dish I ordered mild came spicy as can be and my lo mein had grit in it. It tasted like egg shells and after I tasted it, I felt sick to my stomach and couldn't eat anymore. Maybe they were just having an off night but I won't risk it again.

bang for your buck
If you are working/living in the area, Jimmy's House is a clutch Chinese food takeout joint. For $5.50, you will find it hard to finish your meal of 3 portions of entrees, rice, and soup. The food is pretty standard (chicken and broccoli, sesame chicken, a few pork dishes, a couple tofu dishes, some vegetarian options), and the helpings - generous. I would recommend the place on the basis of speed and value.

Authentic tasty and generous
I'm Chinese so I know the difference between good and bad Chinese food. So when an NYU dental student tried to get me to goto some Chinese food place that lets you choose 4 dishes and a soup for $5.50, I thought of all the disgusting places I had been to in Chinatown. I was pleasantly surprised though when I found that the food was in both good quality (fresh) and taste. The common dishes such as chicken and broccoli tasted better than most local restaurants that would charge as much as $6.50 for a lunch special. The string beans stir fried shanghainese style are delicious. The hot and sour soup is just the right combination of pepper and vinegar. I have continued to also go here because of their selection of brown rice and the generous heaping. Also the two times I had them deliver, it was very timely. I'm glad to have found this place.

Veggie Noodle Soup
I have ordered from here a couple of times, since I work in the area. I recently had their Mandarin Vegetable Noodle Soup. It was in a large container (about a pint and half) wiht fresh broccoli, mushrooms, pea pods, carrots, and other good veggies, with thick, long tubular noodles. Very filling. I 've also had their chicken fried rice which is decent. I know a lot of the people I work with like the food, and they're competitively priced.
