    Service is great...

dont know what the rest of these fools are talking about but we love jimmys! the staff is great and always attentive! not sure if everyone here is expecting hi end dining from jimmys but thats what they want maybe they should use their expense account somewhere on the upper east side where they belong.

    great food, poor service

We eat-in and order from Jimmy's frequently, but have recently decided to stop our patronage due to their poor service. When we eat in, we have watched three new tables get their food and pay their checks before our food even arrives. Sometimes they screw up the order, but by the time you get it, you have been waiting so long you might as well just eat whatever they brought you. Delivery is the same: they act put out that they have to deliver to us in the first place, the delivery guys are rude, and some nights they just flat out refuse to deliver to us (we live within walking distance). It's a bummer that they have to be such jerks, because the burgers and sandwiches are great (and yes, way expensive for smallish portions) and we like to support local business. I'd also recommend staying away from the (canned) peach cobbler there... eew. Jimmy's has lost our business.

    good food, a little overpriced

We ordered from here the other night, and everything arrived safely and our whole order was there. I give them an A+ for the food, but the prices were really high. It actually made us make a pact to NOT order food so often. It was nearly 50$ for 2 people! That being said, it's good quality food and was fresh.

    Keep going back

This place is great! The waitstaff is always friendly, the food is delicious, and I love the candy sign that hangs on the wall. I will keep going back as long as they are in the neighborhood. Order the chocolate and peanut butter shake - yummmy.

    Ew.

Went there for lunch. They lost my order. The sweet tea came out of a soda gun. It was nasty. Although the food had a seemingly Southern slant, I was offended by some of the poor interpretations of classic dishes. Everything was expensive.

    Great food but poor execution...

Jimmy's food is exceptional. Not once have I been dissapointed. Their main flaw is they lack in customer service. First off, their already pricey burgers and sandwich's DON'T come with fries, but if you want to order a side of them it costs $3 for a small portion. I'm quite easy going but this really ticks me off. Also, considering I order from them about 3-4 times a week I can attest that not ONCE has my order been 100%. There is always something missing. Whether it's a sauce I requested or something else. On one occasion I got a rude delivery service person who didn't say thank you or anything when I tipped him. No communication. (for the most part they are nice guys though). If Jimmy's were to ease up on these little things that mean a lot to people they'd be hard to beat.

wanted to be impressed, but disappointed

This place is definitely not as good as Union Picnic, which was in the same location. The "firecracker" wings were not spicy and had a few drops of sauce on them. The fried chicken was dry too. And for the price, I don't know if I want to try again and find out if it was just an off day. I do have to say that the service was great. They actually called to say the delivery was running late: too bad the food didn't live up to the service.
