i ordered lunch on a saturday afternoon and had to wait over an hour for my food. the delivery guy was snotty and made no apology for the wait. the food was good but not as hot as it could have been. despite the fact that i enjoyed my meal this one and only experience with their service was so awful i will never ordered from them again.

I live right down the road from Jimmy's, a 2 minute walk. I can confidently say that 9/10 times I am thoroughly disappointed. $6.00 for a disappointing breakfast sandwich with uncooked bacon on a hamburger bun, really?

I am a frequent customer of Jimmy's Diner & have always been pleased with the food & service. The dining area is small so sometimes I have been unable to get a table for brunch. I have never had a problem with delivery as well. Highly recommend the Buffalo Chicken sandwich & the Chicken & Waffles!!! Jimmy's = 2 THUMBS UP :)

... and its really a shame because the food is bangin'. Menu is fantastic - maybe a tad pricey, but really really delicious. But the service is just ridiculous. I know its Brooklyn, but still. I guess it depends on how lucky you feel. They get your order wrong about a third of the time, and are helpful and responsive when they mess up, 0% of the time. If you're lucky enough to get what you asked for, you'll probably have a pretty good experience. First time I ate in, they brought me the wrong meal, - so i sent it back, waited for them to bring me what I ordered (it happens) but then then tried to charge me for BOTH! And not just by mistake, either. They spent 5 minutes trying to convince me that since they prepared both meals, I should pay for both. Just silly. Last week we ordered to meals to be delivered. They brought one of them but we paid for both since we didn't realize that one whole meal wasn't in the bag. Again, thats gonna happen. No big deal. But when we called them, they said its too late, the kitchen is getting ready to close and they can't make the food. They asked if it was ok if we took a 'store credit'. I said no, bring me the money back. And the guy on the phone said - quote - "I'm offering you a credit, but I'm not gonna take a bunch of shit over it". ARE YOU KIDDING? Who talks to customers on the phone like that? They ended up sending our money over, but still. Like I said, the food is awesome, but it depends if "you're willing to take a bunch of shit for it"

The tots are okay as I said. The rest is awesome for brunch/breakfast. Check out the hangover helper if you're into fries and/or beans and/or cheese. Always remember that you can order a different style egg on your breakfast sandwich than is listed on the menu - important fact. A bit on the pricey range for poor students, but great for the food for poor students. I love it when I go... and when I DON'T!

it's diner food. it's damn good diner food at brooklyn prices, which means not cheap, but it's not like dumont or something. the tater tots are what always keep me coming back for more. i like eating in better than delivery, but delivery never seems to take more than half an hour or so, which seems pretty normal to me.

Everything is fine when I eat in the restaurant but when I order my food takes forever and they put everything ON the burger so it's completely soggy and disgusting. I've told them a million times but they charge me to keep everything separate. It's kinda messed up since they're the ones who screw it up. Nonetheless, I still keep ordering, so take from this what you will. Annoying, snotty service but the food hits the spot.
