Good
There is a severe lack of decent places around Fed Plaza, so Jerry's is a welcome addition. The service was friendly when I went and the decor is far nicer than an average dinner, bright and pleasant. The food was good, not great, and there is a wide variety of items. The prices are simply a bit too high, but given the area/clientele they can prob get it. With tax and 15% tip a fair sized turkey club, fries and iced tea cost me close to $20. That is a bit out of the realm or normality for a casual lunch, at least for me.

Subpar Service
My boyfriend and I went here for a quick brunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were surprised at the cute decorations and full bar. The restaurant was half full, with four different servers on duty. I used to work at a restaurant and understand having a bad day but this place really sucked. We sat there for at least ten minutes before anyone helped us. Our waiter was very unfriendly and brisk. He gave us our drinks, took our order and did not come back until our meals arrived, 45 minutes later. It literally took that long. The people across from us complained about their meals twice, as they had been waiting over an hour. There was no apology for the wait. Our waiter dropped our food and did not come back until we had to flag him down to get our check. No drink refills, no acknowledgement that they'd forgotten my toast. Food was very good but service really ruined the meal. There are too many good places in NYC to waste your money on a place that you have to beg the waiter to help you.

A Great Local Spot for NYU Students Living in the Lafayette Dorm
I recently moved into my NYU dorm on Lafayette and White Street and stumbled into Jerry’s Café while looking for a good place to have dinner. Living in this area, I have found it very hard to find a good place to that is close and serves quality food for my student budget. When I arrived at Jerry’s Café, I immediately felt comfortable in their relaxed atmosphere and couldn’t believe how close it was to my dorm. The truffle fries were the best I have ever had! Their Fontina pizza was also amazing! It also has truffle oil as well as mushrooms and was really delicious! I had such a fantastic meal at such a great price and am really looking forward to becoming a regular! This restaurant is truly a MUST not only for all NYU students living in the Lafayette dorm but also everyone in NYC!

Breakfast let down
I was early for work today, so I gave this place a try for breakfast. Somehow, they managed to mess up scrambled eggs. Eggs tasted like rubber and hashbrowns tasted more like boiled potatoes that were slightly mashed. Pretty big disapointment - I had so much hope for this place. Definitely wont be doing breakfast there again, lunch I would have to be talked into going by a big fan. My waitress was very nice though, and great music plays in this place.

Great food at reasonable prices
I had dinner at Jerry's this week, and was very impressed by the food. I ordered the grilled salmon, which was accompanied by coconut rice and green beans. Everything was well done - the salmon was perfect, neither under nor overcooked, and the rice and beans complemented the fish well. Service was also fast and polite. I will definitely be coming back soon, since it is hard to find a restaurant with a great atmosphere that serves such good food at such reasonable prices!

still finding their footing
I went to Jerry's for dinner last week and had a great caesar salad with a really wonderful, tangy dressing. I went again for lunch today and got a caesar salad that tasted completely different. Not only that, adding chicken to it added a full $6 to the price. I think this place has great potential and was a fan when it was in Soho, but they need to get their footing and perhaps lower their lunch prices a bit. As it stands now, there are better salads to be had for much less around the neighborhood.

Finally!
After about a year long hiatus, Jerry's has finally returned. This time in Tribeca, filling a much needed void in quality comfort food and atmosphere in the neighborhood. Some friends and I went to Jerry's cafe for dinner the other night and were pleasantly surprised by our experience! We weren't quite sure if they could hold up to the high standard that was set when Jerry's was back in SoHo, but as soon as we walked in, we all agreed that we felt at ease due to the fact that the decor now is almost exactly like the old joint, so it's as if we were entering the Jerry's of old. And some of the old staples were back on the menu, like the brick roasted chicken, the grilled pizzas and the classic caesar salad. The new additions were also very tasty and well done. We ordered the salmon with cous cous and the pork chop which were both great. The server was very friendly and helpful when we had questions about the menu. Overall, i had a great experience, and i'll definitely be back for dinner and to sample the lunch menu as well.
