Good food...Okay Service
I have been to Jekyll and Hyde's several times before. Each time has been fun and enjoyable. The surroundings are great the characters are welcoming and nice... Until it was time to eat I suppose. It seemed like we were waiting for hours, but in the mean time, characters are there to keep you entertained until your waiter or waitress arrives. I guess the place is quite unique and great. The food is good (my freind says the crab cakes are excellent), and even though it may seem like a decade before your service comes, the wait, I think, is well worth it. :) I'd give the place 4 stars.

Do Not Go
I went there in the mid 90's for a late evening drinking spot - which it was great for at the time. Went about a year ago - the service was poor, the food was average and this entertainment fee is a joke. I was told 4 times that a tip was not included on my check. When I received the check in big red letters it said: "Tip not included". No class - waste of time when there are other great places to go in the city.

Hope you have cash, it's AMEX only!
Stopped in because it sounded interesting. Cool feel and decor but was disappointed in the food. Burger was very dry and the "show" that goes on gets old after about 10 minutes. Wait staff was very slow at taking our order (there were only 2 of us) and getting refills. Prices are too high for the quality of food you get. Skip it unless you're desparate or only visiting the bar.

Best burgers ever!
Four of us had lunch there recently, and we all got different types of burgers. They were absolutely the best burgers any of us had ever eaten! The prices are a bit high, but the burgers were big and came with lots of fries. The manager waited on us and was very friendly. Service was good. Inside decor is creepy, with ghoulish figures here and there, etc. and ghoulish music playing. The ladies room is the "third bookshelf on the left" down the hallway, which is lined in "books" from end to end. (Probably funny trying to find it after a few drinks!) Overall, a fun place. Would love to check it out on Halloween! (Bonus: The limo driver, Bobby, came by while we were there. He drives a limo done up in tombstone tan with ghouls hanging all over it to advertise the place. He was decked out in black from head to toe, wearing silver rings and looking a lot like a member of ZZ Top. Way cool!)

Rude and disorganized
Poor service. We waited 20 minutes before anyone even came over to our table and when they did the manager made us move to a different table. We then got grief from our server who made us move again which got us grief from the manager. We spent an hour and nobody even took our order. How do they stay in business?

Great Place for a fun time!
I moved to the NYC area 4 months ago and quickly discovered Jekyll and Hyde. I LOVE the atmosphere there!! The food is okay, but I've only eaten a meal there once. I always go and get an appetiser and hit up the bar which is excellent, having liquers and beer you normally can't find in restaraunts. The atmosphere lends itself greatly to a night of fun with a group of friends. Whenever folks from home come up to visit I make sure we at least stop by Jekyll and Hyde's and it always manages to be a highlight of everyone's trip!

Boring!
Well this was a disappointment! AFter seeing Blue Man Group, we went to this restaurant hoping for a fun time. My 13 year old daughter and 9 year old neice were with my husband and I. We expected much more. The place is decorated in dark woods with big scary sculptures on the wall, but certainly not to the extent I expected. I thought there would be people dressed up doing spooky and creepy things. There was one girl dressed as a housekeeper who went around dusting people's shoulders. Wow. A few times, the sculptures on the wall came alive and started talking. There must have been a live person somewhere doing the talking, as they were interacting with the diners. Their schtick was very lame, except for the Sphynx. He was pretty funny (but not scary). The food was not very good, and priced very high. Overall, we were all disappointed. It's all window dressing. Don't bother.
