Welcome to 14th Street!
What a welcome addition to 14th St. This place is special. It replaced a French bistro, Gravoche, which was a neighborhood favorite. They opened in the space and kept a similar type menu and vibe. Plus they have a fantastic garden in the back! The food is remarkable and priced just right. The staff is very friendly and the noise level is comfortable. This is a great restaurant with a great staff and excellent food. Their soufflé's are worth a visit. Do yourself a favor and try Jeanne & Gaston. You won't be sorry!

French gem on 14th Street
My husband and I have had several memorable dinners here and are always happy to introduce friends to enjoy this lovely restaurant. It is comfortable chic and offers wonderful food served by attentive, personable waitstaff. The added bonus is the fact that we can choose any (!) appetizer, entree and dessert on the menu for $40. We have already found favorites such as the French pizza appetizer (not sure of the name) and scrumptious dessert souffles but we want to try more because everything is just so tasty. Today, we're bringing a British friend there for lunch...can't wait!

A great addition to the neighborhood!
We have had two dinners at Jeanne & Gaston, both excellent. The three-course $40 prix fixe is a good buy. The restaurant has been redecorated and is very pleasant. The noise level, even when the restaurant is full, is acceptable. Wine prices are reasonable. Food portions are generous without being gross, and the quality is high -- everything we’ve had is delicious. Only the service needs improvement to be truly professional -- especially the helpful busboy who called us “you guys” each time he came over to the table. That didn’t add to the French atmosphere.
