Not recommended
I am a local and live around Chinatown. I have patronage the restaurant a few times. Last week I was ordering taking out and the owner overcharged me for take-out. He insisted that there was a "Dinner" price and a "Lunch" price difference, he also refused to give back my money when I told him I don't want the order. The owner told me there's nothing I can do , because I placed the order and he said all sales were final.

Atmosphere & delicious value
This place is charming, cheap, and has a diverse menu of delicious food. A Chinatown gem!

Used to be good
I went here for dinner during the spring and everything was impeccable. I absolutely loved the calamari and the chicken wrapped in banana leaves. I came back earlier this week with my sister and her noodles were DOUSED in soy sauce and my Indian Mee Goreng was so bland, that if I hadn't added in the soupy curry from our Roti Cani, it would've been completely tasteless. Also, the potatoes (2 pieces that I got btw) were extremely undercooked and HARD rather than soft. Ughhhh. I guess lesson learned - although the prices are amazing, I'm never coming here for lunch ever again.

Run, don't walk
There is nothing much to say about this place other than the fact that the food was disgusting. I have never had an experience quite like this one. I took two bites of my "coconut fried rice" which was much more like a risotto. and tasted terrible. That is NOT how fried rice was meant to be. My husband had their porkchops. The meat was appalling. Tasted old. For those of you who want a nice malaysian meal, go ANYWHERE but here. Consider this your warning.

50. Hainanese Chicken With Rice
Overall foods are not bad but Hanianese chicken is ok. They are using black meat and leg. So tastes ok.

great food
one of our favorite restaurant in chinatown. great food + good service. but not great atmosphere, but we can stand it w / the price it charges us.

Subpar
8 of us, 4 were Malaysians ate there on 2/9/09 after reading good reviews on this place. boy, didn't we regret! everything was subpar, the food, the service. 4 apertisers & 7 entrees & none satisfying. the mee siam was so overhelmingly sweet that it tasted almost like a bad dessert, mixed vegi were almost all cabbage & onions. these people are truly giving the word "Malaysian Cuisine" a very bad rap, shame on them!
