Freshest salad bad
As a consultant I hop around the city every few months and I love when I am close to Jane's for lunch. I found it when I worked in a regular job upstairs for a year. I find Jane's to have the freshest salad bar with a lot of variety. Nothing ever looks likes it has been "picked over" and left for dead. They have pretty good sourp for a lot less than you pay elsewhere. The lentil is my fave, although it could use some S&P. It gets very crowded during peak hours so you may have to wait a bit if you want something from behind the counter or delivered. But is is worth it compared to the overpriced dreck a lot of places in the area serve you.

Just didn't care!
I ordered a salad for lunch that comes with shrimp. It came 30 minutes later (they are located across the street) with no shrimp. I called them to see if they could bring me another salad, and the woman who answered was EXTREMELY rude. its been 45 minutes since my second call, and I still haven't gotten my lunch. I am really disappointed and hungry. my salad was 12 dollars. Way to much money for lettuce, tomatoe, parma, and croutons.

Pricey, but worth it
The food is really fresh and tasty, although it seems to be a bit pricey and their $15 credit minimum seems kind of stupid. However, the food is really delicious and fresh! They have an attractive salad bar with seemingly fresh ingredients and they have great sandwich specials. The baked potatoes are really good. Overall, a great place for lunch but somewhat pricey. But you're in NYC, so its worth the money. I'd rather pay for this food than some other deli.

Fantastic
I work just about three blocks away from Jane's Deli, and let me tell you the food is great. Breakfast is cheap! Lunch can be pricey, but that all depends on how much food you put in your trays to go. I love their sandwiches, services, and delivery is quick! My co-workers love Jane's, and we used them for luncheons/meetings. The clients are pleased with the food provided. Try Jane's Deli, you'll be satisfied!

Awesome deli
Jane's is fantastic. Been working in the Midtown area for the last 7 years and I have no problem going 8 blocks out of the way in the cold to get a sandwich at Jane's, Everything is clean and the portions are really big, you definitely get your money's worth! Also, I think the egg sandwiches are worth it cause you get REAL EGGS and not that watered down stuff at the other delis around the same area. Previous poster said something about Jane's being the only deli around but that's not true there are lots of delis (at least 3 in a two-block radius, trust me I've been to them). None are as fresh and generous as Jane's though which is why I never went back to those other places.

Good Hot Food, Breakfast Overpriced
Jane's has very good food in general, especially their Hot Food/Salad Bar, but I find their Breakfast specials, particularly their $2.75 egg sandwich overpriced, especially since they charge you the same whether you have one egg or two...but since there are not many other options nearby, they get away with it.

Thank God for Jane's
Every sandwich I've ordered from Jane's has been amazing. The salad bar is also incredibly fresh and delicious, and I get it when I have no time to wait on the line that stretches for miles sometimes as everyone wants a sandwich from the deli counter (tip: call ahead of time and order for a pick-up to save time). Friendly service, great food, what more can one ask for?
