    My ears are still ringing

The food at Jane is delicious but if you want to enjoy conversation with your companions, you should finish dinner by no later than 9:30pm. This is absolutely the loudest restaurant i've ever been to! However, now that i know that, i will plan accordingly and either eat early or if the weather is nice, request a quiet table outside along Houston street.

    What a wonderful evening

Sunday dinner at Jane was one of the best deals in soho. Sat outside and had a wonderful meal and a great conversation with the chic couple sitting next to us. We had the hanger steak and the montauk fluke both fabulous. Our waitress lizzy was an excellent server always around when you needed her. Definitely will return.

    So Yummy!

Went for brunch on a Sunday afternoon - not a long wait at all (15 min) and the place was bumping. Food is awesome, and there's just a really great atmosphere.

I found what I've been looking for

On a rainy night, some weeks back, I missed the begining of the film I wanted to see at the Angelika and decided to have some dinner by myself and wait for the next showing. I happened upon Jane and had a culinary experience I will never forget. The flavors and the wine and the wonderful service and overall flawless restaurant were deeply intoxicating. I walked the streets of Manhattan in the rain and I felt so joyful that I thought my feet would lift off the ground at any second. I have never come so close to tears after a meal. I am a chef and rarely appriciate affordable cuisine besides my own, but I bowed my head to Jane that night.

    Great Overall Find

Jane is my favorite restaurant in my neighborhood and one of my favorite in New York. The atmosphere is elegant but not pretentious, the service is great and the food and drinks are even better. All the appetizers are interesting new American and easily combine to make a meal and half of the entree items are fish dishes and all delicious. They also always have great daily specials. It's hard to go wrong.

Great place for brunch after 12

Went to Jane for brunch last Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Great deal for a nice meal and 1 comped drink. Had a white peach bellini that was delicious - not too sweet - and an amazing meal of crab cakes benedict. The meal looked really small when it came out - mostly home fries and two little cakes w/ eggs on top. But my eyes were bigger than my stomache - I was definitely full at the end of the meal. One thing to remember though is if you are doing the brunch deal and want an alcoholic drink go around noon because they aren't allowed to serve before then. We didn't know that and went at 11 and ended up having to sit around 20 extra minutes after our meal waiting for our drinks while wanna-be brunch eaters circled our table like vultures. Won't make that mistake twice but would go back for seconds.
