    Below-Average Food!

My expectations for Jane were really high, but honestly, the food was very average and not worth your time. My omelette was just a glorified egg dish and my other friends dishes werent that great either. The atmosphere was really great though. Service was OK! Nothing great.

    Solid American

Jane offers traditional & New American cuisine in a large, sleek, yet inviting room. All the expected dishes can be found on the menu - from herb crusted salmon to organic lemon chicken to braised lamb shank. Most of the crowd is well-heeled and under 40, making this place a popular venue on weekends. The large dining area makes this a great place for groups.

    Good food, great service

Met friends for dinner and drinks @ Jane and had a great time. Company didn't hurt but the food and the drinks made the evening. From the gnocchi app to the bread they bring to the table, we were completely content. Our waiter was nice, and had a lively sense of humor which made the atmosphere all the more fun. The wait for a table was a bit much, and the bar could be less on top of where people eat, but other than that I would definetely go back to Jane.

    peaceful palate

we were searched for a relaxing and warm environment to have a slow dinner before catching "My Architect" at the local alt-theatre. We found it in 'Jane'. The lighting is excellent, the decor casual-elegant. The our waiter was friendly-artsy-chic, and versed in top-shelf service without the pretentiousness, and knew well how to pace our culinary needs. The food was delicious and perfectly portioned, and on recommendation, we had the roasted almond string-beans, which lived up to its rap. Both of our fish dishes were savory, and the soup pleased our winter-cold noses. My only withholding is I felt the booth seats were just an inch too low, and I'm taller than average, but that is better than too high, for sure. This is no plain Jane, she has a secret life of pleasure!

    No Plain Jane

This restaurant is so close to my apartment but I had never been...I'm glad I finally made it. It lives up to it's trendy new rep...The food was fresh, with a large menu of ALL good things...it was hard to choose. The restaurant is spacious but not too big inside, with nice decor, evenly spaced tables and a good wine list. Service was a little slack for but even though water was a couple minutes late, it never went unfilled for me long enough to ask for it. Sundays are great deals too...anything from steaks to salmon for $12 with fries or a salad. The possibility of pastas as apps is also a great addition. I'm now part of Jane's addiction...
